THE POWER OF WITNESS

It is always in the name of Christ that I greet you, and that is for a very good reason...I want for you to know that the things that I write to you is from God's Spirit and not from my own mind.

We have been studying and will continue to study the formation and development of God's established church.  Within this study there some things that we should be looking for: 1. is the fact that unlike what many have tried to indicate over the centuries; men did not establish the church, but it was established to bring about a complete understanding of the message that God had given His only begotten Son Jesus to give to us. 2. That message was never the same as other people throughout generations of time thought it would be. 3. Course of events that took place were not those that men had predicted throughout time because God had a plane for all human kind, and not just the salvation of a few.

To wrap our minds around the fact that God had included all of us, and not just the Jews has been had for the Nation of Israel to cope with  because it has taken their traditions out of the center stage, and has placed what the true Messiah established back at the center.  That center piece is the message that Jesus was sent to deliver along with His life given as a perfect sacrifice for all of us.

The book of Acts is all about our witness given to what God has done for us, but it is a witness given through the power of God's Spirit from within us.  You see it is that witness that we give through the power of God's Spirit who lives within us that brings power to our testimony.  What we are finding more than anything else is that it is God working through us that brings the real power to our salvation.  While it takes faith and courage to stand for Christ the real power of transformation in our lives come from our acceptance and implementation of God change in us.  That change was given with the message ; or the good news that came through Jesus.  For the Jewish Nation it meant that they were no longer the single special people of God, but among those whom God loved.  It meant that the way to salvation was through Jesus and not through the law or the tradition of any man made doctrines.  A new covenant was made, and a whole new way of relationship was established.  We bear witness to that new covenant and life given to us through our faith in Christ as the Son of God.  We are pointing toward Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life, and in our studies this year we will see just how different those changes are.  I pray that you continue to join with me in digging for those hidden treasures. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
