SPIRITUAL HEALING THE FIRST STEP
Greetings in Jesus name:
Many people today are looking for healing. I can think of at least ten people whom I personally know of that I am currently praying for healing in their lives. When it comes down to it when we are suffering from some kind of illness one of the first things that we need is to have a new and strengthened attitude about what is going on...it becomes a spiritual kind of healing that takes place. Many times we don't take that into consideration as Christians. We still need spiritual healing and maintenance in our life after we come to Christ but there are many who never even try to keep their spiritual life running smoothly. It is a fact that anything of this world will eventually start to decay and fall apart if it is not maintained, and that is especially true of our spiritual life. When we speak to most Christians we see that most of us go to church on a Sunday Morning with the idea that we will get charged up for the week ahead, but very few actually pay enough attention to what is said and done to be inspired for the day that follows let alone the week ahead.
The sad truth is that we need to seek out spiritual healing in our lives by making ourselves available to be used of God and His people. Spiritual healing comes from bearing the fruit of the Spirit within our lives. Our desire for a short time to receive from God only grows within us as we also give to God, and allow ourselves to be used of God for even the smallest of tasks. Many times this spiritual tweaking in our daily life is just to keep up with the kind of maintenance like prayer, reading the word and meditation on what God is telling our hearts. It is also in seeking out spiritual healing among those of the church with whom we have made a bond of faith in Jesus Christ. We need the strength and heeling from one another as well in order to stay centered in Christ.
Among the first steps for the early church was to make sure that they were all on the same page in the teachings and life they lived in Jesus Christ. That is always done through making constant contact with one another during the week. If we don't make efforts to do that then we become only casual acquaintances that have no real stake in each other's lives. We can never have the fire , love and witness generated among us if that takes place so we need that touch from one another. My question today is " How many of those in the church do you ever see during the week? For those you do see...do you make sure it is quality time together? You see we all are in need, but we are also all healers of the spirit in various ways as well. It is time to allow God to use us to give encouragement and love to one another during the week as we tweak one another in the spirit to be unified in Christ Jesus. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
