CHANGES
There must be huge changes going on in the psychic of this world when it comes to right and wrong...and it mostly due to the view point of the leadership that is recognized as the authority of this country and of our lives on a local basis as well. Scripturally speaking it is up to us as Christians to live at peace as much as possible with those who are around us, and yet as this world grows farther from the principals of the Kingdom of Heaven it opens up the direct need to make a choice in our lives about allegiance and loyalty.
Within my own life I have found the need to put up defensive mechanisms in my mind and heart to protect me from being dragged slowly into an attitude of acceptance of what the world around me produces as being normal behavior. I can tell you that it is not easy to do that because everyday I am finding a new form of deceit to deal with. Some of these things are so subtle they can barely be detected...they are in the commercial world in almost every advertisement we look at. In some way the (normal) is being skewed to fit an accepted point of view that even our parents would be turning in their grave over. The basic attitude of success is transformed into an attitude of what ever can be gotten away with in business dealings with another is fine as long as no one catches it in time. I am watching Dr. Phil talk about the growing problem of oral sex as now being the standard good night kiss. Our country is growing more fine honed in lie and deceit everyday based upon what we are accepting again and again as leadership and accepted dealings socially.
America is now being called the New Babylon and rightly so because we are very quickly allowing ourselves to mimic the same ways of the cities like that of Sodom and Gomorrah. This is the reason that our churches suffer as well from the seeker sensitive cancer that has spread through this country. We have included the world into our worship of God, and in the general attitude of organization. We now run our churches like any other business, and it shows through bigger bank accounts, and ever dwindling ministry.
This is not the country's fault...it is ours for not taking a stand against the world or teaching the truth through scripture. In many ways we have lost our way as the church by simply not being the church that Jesus has established. I have said many different times that the church is first of all family, and secondly it is the people and not the building. Our job is not to save the world as has been so wrongly taught by people who have set themselves up as teachers of the word; but we are to be witnesses of what God has done in our own lives and examples to this world of what it means to lives as Children of the King of Kings. Our job remains as it always has been to love one another as we love ourselves. That does not mean we put on a fake love for the whole world and do nothing for one another. I have found that acceptance of the world in our worship is unacceptable. I have found that unless we begin to attend to the simply tasks that have been set before us as a church we will not survive because the world will find a way to divide and conquer. All of this starts with you and while you may not like to hear that it has been a part of what it means to be a real Christian all along. Perhaps if I keep on pounding at this message long enough someone may do something more than has been done thus far about it. I am doing what God has called me to do in speaking the truth to you, but I fear that there are fewer people whose ears are open to hearing that truth everyday. I need your prayers for strength and power in the Spirit of Christ to continue to speak out...even in the face of people ignoring the message. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
