THE PROSPERITY GOSPEL

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

Much has been said within the churches today about sowing seeds toward getting returns on your investment from God.  The idea of sowing in the minds of some are the same as lending to God in order to get everything that we want.  It is a trick played on us by the world that just like all of the wisdom of men leads to our complete destruction.

Don't get me wrong! I don't mean that we all need to live in a sense of want and despair in our lives.  It is good for this life to be prosperous, but we need to understand where the real wealth lays when it comes to prosperity.  It all starts with who is at the center of your world.  Many today have replaced the authority of God with their care for family, or the running of their business or career, ut all of that is only seasonal, and the time will someday pass for someday it will fail you because each made God has feet of clay.

At some point, we need to understand what real prosperity is and that it needs to be built around an eternal goal because we are designed to live for all eternity in one form or another.  The word of God tells us to store up these riches not in this world, but in a place where thieves cannot steal, moths cannot eat away at it, not time or rust or decay can ever reach it.  The real prosperity of Gospel is found in the words and the promises of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior to whom I owe my life, love, and loyalty.  I know how much we all struggle with the need for having a thing in this world, but please understand that there is a great difference in  a want and a need, and if you find that someone is calling for you to make an investment in something; particularly in something of faith make sure that it fits into the word of God that the Holy Spirit is directing you to, and not to a promise that someone else tells you about their lives.  Dear ones it is time that we began to let go of the things of this world and start to prepare for the life that we have been promised by our God.

This world is corrupt, and the things that have tied themselves to this world are corrupted in some way many times beyond what we can see.  Understand that God has never promised to come back to save this world, but rather to save the essence of who we were created to be.  God can recreate a perfect world for us to dwell in within the blink of an eye or the speaking of a word, but He came that we might have life more abundantly than we ever thought possible.  Let's try to remember what true prosperity is to the child of God.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
