CONTROLLING GOD'S WORK WITHIN US
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
We have been writing about the different aspects of how God works within us, but now let's look at the various ways we try to control that process.
I believe one of the biggest problems that today's' ministries have is in us getting in the way of what God's will is for our lives. I may need to take the time to explain that statement to anyone who has never been involved in ministry, but for those who either are now or have been in a ministry, they will understand completely. Sometimes our biggest enemy is ourselves as we try to place our hearts into a work that we feel God has called us to. It isn't that we are corrupt in our desires, but that we are human enough to allow our own goals, thoughts, and objectives to enter into God's plan, and many times they get in the way by delaying a work that He wants to do or taking away a critical feature of the work that He had planned to use. The problem is that we can't help but to be the way we are because of the environment we are placed in.
We are not created in a physical sense to be perfect, but to make a personal choice about our belief and trust in God. Anything past that is a guess as to how it will turn out depending upon who it is we are listening to or being influenced by. I have grown to believe that is one of the main reasons why God has told us to pray without ceasing. He wants for us to worry about nothing and pray about everything. Simply put as a man it is the only way that Jesus could pull off the sacrifice that He made for us...He had to be in constant contact with the Father through the Holy Spirit in prayer.

We can be reassured that God is certainly not finished yet with our development because our goal is to be like Him in our understanding and knowledge of who and what we are created to be. Paul said, "now we look through a glass darkly, but then when we are face to face we shall know as we are known". We are on a journey that none of us fully understands except for the most simple of facts, which are stated in what Jesus told us about this good news and the new covenant that He instilled within our relationship between His life within us and God the Father's acceptance of that sacrifice. Having said all of that we need to realize that we are far less capable than we would like to think of calling the shots in our lives. Prayer takes away the self from our ability to hear God's voice but only if we first empty self from control before we enter into the conversation with Him. We may talk about the Lord's Prayer or even quote it as a prayer, but that is not the purpose for which it was given. The real purpose was to show us how to come before God in prayer. It includes or acknowledgment of who God is to us, how His will needs to be done in all things, and our complete submission to Him. We ask for His will to be done even before we make our request; which should humble our minds enough to give Him the control. If we would follow the directions that Jesus gave us we would many times not run into the many problems we have.

No matter who we are or where we have been in the field of ministry or service to God we need to remember that we always need to be seeking Hid truth first. The K.I.S.S method still works very well with God I love you all in Christ and I pray for you daily in my heart. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
