THE CHANGING OF OUR MINDS
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
When almost everything else that we try on our own has been depleted we may choose to re-think the plans that failed us. We are many times in the same kind of panic mode like a small animal that is cornered when it comes to changing our mind about how we are doing something. I have personally had to completely ditch my own ways of thinking through something before I could really understand what God was trying to say to me. It seems like so much of the time we develop preconceived ideas of how we should be able to think our ways through things. I think in many ways the world around us has us thinking that it knows the best what our attitude should be in personal matters as well. We don't often realize how very invasive this world is to our lives as it tries to control everything we say and do through the influence of constant chatter in our ears during the day.

HOW DO WE CHANGE OUR MINDS to fit into God's desire for us? One way is to take ourselves out of the drivers seat when it comes to thinking. I have found that if when I first get up I getinto the habit of asking God what He wants from me and asking Him to make the decisions that day about what I am going to do my day has a 100% chance of changing into a complete adventure that I have no control over with God directing each step of my day.
Perhaps it is with someone I met in my day, or some unexpected circumstance I become a part of that changes my mind about how I would normally think or react in life, but it is always something that ends up teaching me something that I need to know about myself. It is one of the many ways that God tests us in life, but we all need to be able to change our minds and our direction in thought in order to stay in the center of God's will for us. How many times have you just put your whole life and decision making into God's hands for a day, and made yourself abide by what you hear Him say to you? It might take some practice but I can tell you that soon your life and thinking will start to change when you do that.
The people and the opportunities to serve God will only come to you when God is the one in charge of your day, and it is not very often that we allow ourselves to think that way. Seeking God with our whole heart and mind is a part of something that we create in our lives and follow daily and moment by moment. There is no doubt that thinking this way will change your mind from what you had been thinking about to something that is brand new. It is my prayer that you would allow God to change your mind today...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
