SUCCESSFUL FAILURES

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

  Do you know that we can win every time we try for the cause of Christ because God has promised that nothing that we do will come back to us void?  I have had many different things in my life which have failed in some way, but I have never had anything that did not come back to me in some way that did not instruct me or show me a more perfect way in Christ.

  Even our prayers are subject to being failures that succeed when our hearts can be changed in the process.  The things that we have done in the past and the mistakes that we have made will leave deep scars at times in our lives and many times those failures will destroy our witness with some people.  It is in those instances we can only call on God's mercy and forgiveness, and then learn from what we are taught.  As we continue to learn from what we are being taught through various mistakes we make there are also new questions that form which we must ask ourselves for the future like; " What are the most important things to us?"  I find that unless we add to or detract from the things we start our believing in our lives we are asking many questions.  Most certainly we are not asking the most important ones.

  One of those most important things to ask is "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TODAY?  Most of us put things on a "TO DO " list for sometime later, but we should start immediately in doing something to prepare for that change as we set a goal and a completion date in our mind and heart to do it.  If we plan to give of the wealth we have or heal broken hearts. If we plan to say certain things that will encourage others or be kind to someone or comfort the lonely or hurting we need to ask the question " WHAT HAVE I DONE TODAY?"

  Anything that requires the love of God coming through you to another person is going to be costly to us, and there are more people in this world today who are reaching out toward God for some kind of touch or healing than there ever has been in history.  Let that healing and love start with you today.  There are many of us who say things like " I want to carry His love to the ends of the earth and to reap a great harvest for the cause of Christ.  In our minds, we can make great plans and blueprints to build mansions and dreams, but it all starts with what we are willing to begin to do today.  Yesterday is gone now and tomorrow has yet to come, the only thing we can work on right now is today...I pray that you will.
