There are none who are righteous

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

Romans 3:9-20 "what then? Are we better than they? No, in no wise; for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin. As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one; there is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are all together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulcher; with their tongues they have used his seat; the poison of asps is under their lips; whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: their feet are swift to shed blood; destruction and misery are in their ways; and the ways of peace have they not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes. Now we know what things so whatever the law says, it says to them who are under the law; and every mouth may be opened, and all the world may  become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight; for by the law is the knowledge of sin".

We have been talking about a subject lately that make most people feel somewhat uncomfortable. Every unredeemed human being, Jew or Gentile, this under the law of God and is actually accountable to God. Whenever we begin to talk about the law, or good works, or salvation there becomes an anticipation of a final verdict that will be brought down upon mankind through God's judgment. This makes us feel very uncomfortable because we have no defense for such a judgment. As this court case draws to its conclusion, and just before it has the opportunity to say anything in front of and all wines all-powerful God, there is a silence that falls over our soul. Each one of us knows that there is no real hope for us on our own. In its most simple way we must rely upon God's mercy. We have talked about that mercy throughout Scripture over the last year in various ways, but it seems as though we still need to be reminded of a simple duty that is ours alone.

The duty that I'm referring to deals with what we have truly living on the inside of us; I would like to call that a sinners conscience. You see God has given this light of mercy and forgiveness to every man in the same way, and yet it remains our job to respond to the truth that we find there. The word conscience means with knowledge. The conscience is the headline warning sin; the Scriptures give the fine print, but no man can say he does not know that it's wrong to murder or commit adultery. You see that knowledge is written in bold print on our hearts, however, in the Scriptures we see the true nature of sin, and we see that God requires truth even in the inward parts of us. Psalms 51:6. My friends it is this fine print that reveals things like lost also being adultery. It reveals that the things that we see in our heart and in our mind become just as much sin as the actual physical act of doing things. It becomes the things that we harbor deep inside of our hearts that truly separated us from God; things like hatred become murder of the heart justice lost of the heart becomes adultery, or envy becomes deceit and lie to our mind. We need to also remember that there are always two witnesses to our crimes. The first witness is us, and the second witness is God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 tells us "do you not know that the un-righteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor write the letters, nor eggs or sugar's, shall inherit the kingdom of God." It becomes those things which we carry around on the inside of us, and that we harbor in the shadows and in the corners of our very soul that Jesus is coming back the second time to judge. The second judgment will not be pretty. The truth remains that we will either be transformed by the renewing of our minds and hearts or we will be righteously judged because sinners will not enter into the kingdom of God. Will be talking about this more a little later but for now may you richly bless God through your life in him.
