Is Jesus the only way to God?
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
There are many schools of thought about what it takes to have a relationship with God, but we need to look closely at what it is we give witness to. Jesus is the one who said that he was the only way to the father. For Christians to say that there are other ways to find peace with God is to bear false witness... Or false testimony. Jesus made a huge statement by discarding all the other religions as a means of finding forgiveness for sins. Jesus own words agrees with other scriptures; "neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" Acts 4:12 in another Scripture says"for there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ" 1 Timothy 2:5.
Jesus has made many different comments concerning who he was, in fact in the book of John 14: 1-12 Jesus tends to clear up the Muddy Waters of fear that Christians have about finding their way to God. The Christian who has confidence in Jesus knows that his eternal footsteps of been ordered by the Lord, and that there is a mansion prepared for him that his wildest imaginations could not conceive. "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in me. In my father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would've told you. I goal to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself, that where I am there you may be also. And where I goal you know and the way you know." If there were a Different Way, Jesus would've told us. He is not a liar. His word is sure and steadfast, a mooring for the sole, and those who come into the harbor of com faith in God have perfect peace in the troubled storms of this world.
Jesus used some very unique words in his ministry, but it all comes down to a question about what those words were true or false. I have weighed these very seriously within my heart, and I believe that Jesus is to be taken very seriously when he says," no one comes to the father but through me"and with that in mind I have to believe that every other proposal that we get in a way to find the God has to be one of darkness. There are many questions that are as to whether Jesus was God in human form but in the book of John 17:14-22 Jesus makes a statement that says: "I have given them your word; in the world has hated them, because they are not of this world, even as I am not this world. I pray not that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through your truth ; your word is truth. As you have sent me into the world, even so I have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself; that they might also be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; that they all may be one as you, father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us that the world may believe that you have sent me. And the glory which you gave me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one". Jesus is an extension of God just as his word is an extension of the working of the spirit of God within each of our lives. Each one of us at some point makes a commitment to something that we say we believe in. There are some people however that don't get past Square one in a commitment because they only trust in their own feelings rather than in God, his promises, or his word.
Ultimately we have to believe that God's promises are true, despite our feelings. If I make a promise to my wife that promises true whether she is feeling happy or sad. If she doubts my word that she doubts my integrity. Anyone who genuinely repentance and trust in Christ will be saved. The Bible makes this promise; "he that has my commandments, keeps them, he it is that loves me; and he loves me shall be loved by my father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him" John 14:21. God has made a promise, but that promise comes with the condition. Any person who loves and obeys Jesus will begin a supernatural relationship with both him and the father. God's Spirit remains in you through your relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus promises that he and the father will reveal themselves to all who love and obey him. This is the ultimate challenge to any skeptic. The simple truth is's that it is okay to challenge the word of God to see if it's true for your life, but the challenge has to be truthful, and you have to be honest in seeking truthful results as they are revealed to you. I believe that God will honor anyone seeks after him, and who ask honest questions about their faith in his word. I also believe that it is prudent for us to prove God's word to be true for our lives, because as we prove that word true to our own life then our faith can do nothing but increase. We can then be true believers and what Christ has told us. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
