The worship of God to mankind
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
In the last blog we ended with a thought about worship and what it has become to us as Christians in general. As Christians many of us get the mistaken concept that evil somehow wants to be our friend, and even that evil and good can live together side by side as to forces that choose to agree to disagree.
What we find with evil in general is that it becomes the same mentality as the Muslim jihadist who refuses to obey or to adapt to any other law, lifestyle, or social culture other than that of complete Islamic dominance. There becomes a continued double standard for evil that blatantly states that it is all right for evil to do what ever is necessary to conquer good, while at the same time good is restricted to a very limited arsenal that requires us as Christians to love in spite of hate. In the view of social evil one of the mainstay tools that is used is to divide us against one another so that it is much easier to conquer us. Separating us from one another by actions, dialogues, and doctrines to focus on one style or phase of God's personality and promises to us has been very productive in Satan's plan for our worship of God. In the book of Matthew 15:9 it reads"but in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." It is therefore safe to say that God has his own views of what real worship is. Isaiah 29:11-16 "and the vision of all is become to you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned; saying, read this, I pray you; and he says, I cannot, for it is sealed. And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, read this; I pray you, and he says, I am not learned. Therefore the Lord said, for as much as this people drawn near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their hearts far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men; therefore, the hold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work with wonder for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid. Woe to them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord, and their works are in the dark, and they say who sees us? And who knows us? Surely you're turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay, or shall the work say of him that made it he made me not? Or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it he had no understanding?"
This is only partly the reason why I believe that God has his own intent of heart behind worship God has shown his own concepts of what is important in worship that once again deals with the intent of heart. So does it matter what the format of our worship is? People today are clamoring for an answer to a way to worship God effectively, and express themselves to him. They want to feel safe again but they are ignorant of how to worship, and in most cases they are ignorant of why they should worship God. In the book of ACTS 17:23 Paul describes the same concepts that were referring to here two people who were searching for truth about worship "for as I passed by, and be held your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD, whom therefore you ignorantly worship; him do I declare unto you". Ancestry will worship places the emphasis on tradition and generation after generation of worship in the same manner, not because it is correct or scriptural, but because it is comfortable. There is a great difference between the true child of God in faith and those who use, and rely on traditional and generational ways of worship. I want to end the series of discussions by dealing with the subject of what it is that causes separation between God's people. I pray that you will join me, and please be praying with me for the Holy Spirit's guidance. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
