The development of the church

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

The church as we know it today is in great need of unity. We have as men and women developed a system of worship that is designed around our personal taste and desires for comfort. It caters to the basic nature of mankind rather than the true worship of God. The church is found itself in the struggle for recognition, and control of these desires has led to a great and overwhelming number of denominational cretins and doctrines developed to provide for our personal wants. From the beginning if we tried to unify these by the use of our own intellect we would very soon fall into the same patterns that created these divisions in the first place; a desire to control or justify the faith we have been certain traditions and doctrines we personally hold. It is for this reason that we must come back to that which we have all agreed in our hearts with from the start.

This journey begins with the love of God for mankind, but we cannot hope to understand that kind of love without being willing to love in return. Matthew 12: 50 speaks of this understanding in more detail. As we grow up in our family household and obey our parents, it should be because of love, and not because they are still stronger or smarter than we are, but because of the love and respect for them that we have developed. The same is true for love and respect for God. We should be able to obey his will out of love and respect for him. We find in Luke 8:21 that God looks on us as his children when we love them enough to obey him and his commandments. The obedience is out of love not out of fear alone. By walking in God's commandments we have become what is said to be a peculiar treasure to God above all other people because in his words"the world is his"Exodus 19:5. We were created to love God as his own children, and that includes keeping his Commandments are blow and not just fear. John 14:15-23 explains in verse 15 that if we love them we will keep his commandments. What are they? That we love God with all of our hearts, and mind, and that we love our neighbor as we love ourselves; in Christ's words these are the greatest commandments of all. In verses 21-23 Christ tells us that the result of lumping God in that way and loving each other and that way is that God will dwell with us throughout our lifetime here and always. God through the power of the Holy Spirit will abide in us, and we will abide in him, and that brings us to the state of unity with God.

In the development of many body of believers who comes together to worship as families in Christ there are elements that come into play that cannot be ignored. Many automatically relate to the Holy Spirit as a part of the trade God, but Christ use the spirit of God is a titled person of God"comforter". This tells me that our relationship with the Holy Spirit should be the same as our relationship with God for God sent Jesus and Jesus sent the Holy Spirit. Our commitment to love is not merely to love God but to love God is he is loved us, and is given himself for us. Our commitment to love others is not to just get along but to love others as we love ourselves. The deepest part of that commitment begins with her personal sacrifice to God, and the answer is found in Romans 12: 1-5. The Scripture contains three areas that are personal first steps that must be made before we can really begin to become a church body that will glorify God. 1. We must present our bodies as living sacrifices that are Holy, acceptable to God which is our reasonable service. 2. We are not to be conformed to this world, or swayed by the negative and hateful things of this world. 3. We are to be transformed by the renewing of our mind, that we may prove what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

The early church was very tuned into this kind of life-changing commitment because of the persecution felt by the church from the world around them. In today's social structure so far we have not felt that kind of hatred, therefore, it is hard to relate to making that kind of commitment. Matthew 10:37 finds Jesus speaking in terms of someone who shows more love to his father or mother or brother or sister than the God is not being worthy of God. That tells me that God places a great value upon love. I want to continue with these thoughts in the next blogger so, but I don't want to give you too much information to chew on right now. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
