Satan's greatest masterpiece; the religious Christian

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

In today's church it is becoming more difficult to minister the real truth of God's word do more so to the interference of religious church members then to the disinterest of those who are blatantly outside of Christ. The Satan work in today's church in the same way that he worked in those who crucified Jesus? In these last days before Christ's return we should know that Satan will be at work more so in the churches than anywhere else, because of that work he will be more deceptive than ever in trying to confuse those who are easily swayed by doctrines and attitudes of those who are in positions of authority. Today we will be talking about Satan's greatest achievement; which is the religious Christian. The Holy Spirit asks us to be very aware of the religious and hypocritical nature of mankind. It is not found in the attacks of Satan on the church nearly as much as it is in the followers of Christ bringing the world into the church in this age. The greatest achievement that Satan has ever made with in the church is the religious and hypocritical Christian.

Since the time of Christ God has made us aware of the danger of religion in our Christian experience, and today is no exception. I don't know how many times I have heard people say they could not teach or speak about Christ in their life to someone because they didn't have enough knowledge of Scripture. If the truth were no we don't need any knowledge of Scripture other than the testimony of Christ in our lives and the genuine desire to tell others what he has done for us through his saving grace.

If we could only realize that Satan and his angels know Scripture better than most preachers who we would call experts today it may change our minds about how much the knowledge or memorization of Scripture plays a part in our personal witness. In fact if there is one single thing that supports Satan's cause the most it is the Christian who meets all of the outside qualifications for piety, who says and does the right things in the denominational society, and sinks and reacts to the Holy Spirit's call by the use of the reason of this world. The danger is in beginning to play the game church by the use of all the right catchphrases and all the right actions in our worship that makes us fit in with the denominational standards, but whose intent of heart is as phony as glass trying to pass as a diamond. There is a real difference between the genuineness of our conversion to an ideal sent by men, and the genuineness of a life in Christ. We can be genuinely converted to a denominational doctrine, and still not be a genuine child of God. How can we tell the difference? We simply start by looking at the Scriptures concerning the difference." No man can lay a foundation other than that which is already been laid which is Jesus Christ". If we find ourselves more ready to defend the doctrine of our church than to defend our faith in Christ than there are problems. I have actually seen people who would defend the doctrine to be right before they would defend Jesus as Lord of their lives.

You see the problem starts with the kind of materials we use to build with one we are working for our Lord. Even if we begin to build upon the proper foundations in Christ, but try to use materials that are the easiest to gather from around us, or I should say the things that are laying around from this world it makes the real difference in the long run. It depends upon the kind of materials we use to build our life in Christ with, because we will be tested as to its worth in these last days. Paul has written: "but there are various kinds of materials that can be used to build upon that foundation some use gold and silver and find Jules; some build with sticks and hay, or even strong ; but everyone's work will be put to the fire so that all can see whether or not it keeps its value, and what was really accomplished".

If we build our life with materials that are cheaply acquired we may never see the differences at first, and certainly this world is not, but when the real test comes in our life we will see the difference because it will be the quality of materials which keep that which we have built in Christ standing. We cannot hope to build a spiritual house with materials made from our earthly nature because the physical materials will sooner or later pass away just like this world will pass away. I want to continue with this thought throughout the next longer so, but for now may you richly bless God through your life in him.
