Memorial day
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
I am not one to say much about memorial day in general. It is a time of remembering the valor of others quite frankly I consider those who have given their life and their life's blood to defend this country as being the he rose but deserve remembrance, the rest of us have just been very lucky.
I believe that God has said that he would pour out an abundance of his spirit in the later days that we should know his calling and we should repent from the pants that we have chosen to be on. I think for the most part our country has missed that calling from God because the calling is not to be re-echoed among those of us who live but it is echoed to us. That calling is to those of us that consider ourselves to be a part of the body of Christ. Every one around us wants to control how much and what of God's Spirit we are allowed out into the public. Many of us are bound by words and manner of those people who would do are praying, reading, and learning for us; and then who would attempt to dictate to us our faith. I believe we are called to give accountability to others of what we believe and why we believe it. God asked us to be genuine in our search for him we cannot know what his mind is unless we are first able to read his directions for life for ourselves. I believe that's much the same way that we need to be in combining God with our country, for we need to have a mindset of absolute truth on this memorial day in order to be able to go forth as a country with confidence.
The power of God's Holy Spirit will give us the grace to understand what it is we need to know as we read in reason together his words just like they did in the beginning of the church. Let's, and reason together again! As the Scripture says we have been looking but we do not see, and we have heard but we did not listen. How can we hope to understand when we hear but do not listen how can we hope to understand when we have given our spiritual duties over to someone else because we think that"well they are the minister!" Let him do it. Don't you know there will be many who will say on that day"Lord didn't we pray? Lord didn't we heal in your name? God the father will have to say to many who have attended church every Sunday "depart from me for I never knew you". Why is that because we had ears but would not hear we had eyes would not see.
We have the opportunity to turn this country around but we need to be able to think for ourselves. If there is one thing that the military has taught me, it is that I must think for myself rather than be led around by the nose with policies and political correctness that has nothing to do with life, but only to do with someone else patting their pockets at my expense. Our spiritual life and growth is not based on someone else's prayers written for us to memorize and recite. When we have finished we have merely recited what another person is written; we have not spoken to God. We hear but we do not listen. When we listen to a good message from the speaker we may admire them for their ability but the real test for us is do we go ourselves to verify if what is said is true or do we take for granted that they always speak the truth therefore it must be right?
In this country we have allowed others to do for us what we should be doing for ourselves. We cannot allow machines to take away our ability to learn. We cannot allow policies that are made up to govern the weakest among us to become an unbalanced law of the land. Do you still feel that you see and listen clearly enough to what God is saying to you? If so then praise God! If not then it is time for a change in your life. Listen to what his spirit tells you in these days before it is too late for God to know who you are. If we are to get acquainted with someone we must get to know him or her. Listen to their words, see their actions in life, and then judge for ourselves what is true. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
