A foundation of Christ/sanctification

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

For many years people have struggled with the ideas of what it takes to really give their lives to God. The answer is all wrapped up in just who we will allow God to be to us. It is our will alone that allows God to complete us into the person that he wants to create in us. God cannot do that without having the complete control he needs over who we are right now.

One of the hardest things for us to do is to let go of control when we are taken outside of our comfort zone, and Satan knows that better than anyone. That is why we are always outside of our comfort zone when ever we try to live for Jesus Christ. We are called to become righteous and holy as Christ is righteous and holy, but it is impossible if we try to strive for those things on our own. We must be taken out of this world somehow before we can be made as Christ is and that means we must set aside what we want for what God wants from us. As we give our will away to God the father will replace the parts we give away to him with new parts that are formed inside of us to be holy and acceptable just as Jesus Christ was.

Our job then is to give our will away so that God can make us who we were meant to be through the power of his spirit. We die, and he lives, and then he cents us aside from the rest of this world. That is what it means to be in the world, but not of the world. For the most part what we experience in this life is what becomes the most real to us. When we come to Christ and accept salvation our heart is convicted by sin and we really want what God has promised us, but the only kind of reality we have ever experienced is what we have already lived here. That kind of experience falls way short of what the reality of living in Christ is, but we don't know that yet until we allow ourselves to experience what it is to give our control of life away to God out of love for him. When we decide to give ourselves a way to God we must realize it can't be done all at once. We give ourselves a way piece by piece as we can learn to trust that God's promises are true to us. The more we learn to trust the more we are willing to give away to him until it isn't us who lives here anymore, but it is Christ who lives here in our place and through us. Because we give ourselves a way to him out of love, Jesus Christ replaces those parts of us with new parts that are geared to life eternal and in his kingdom so this world doesn't mean the same things to us that they once did. We have traded ourselves away for a new life and a new person then will live forever as a complete child of God. While we still are alive here physically in a body we are really dead already to our desire to live here because we don't feel we are at home here any longer. Our is with God.

We have laws that govern how we live here or in whatever country we live, and there are spiritual laws that we must live by to become a part of God's family as well. We have spoken of these earlier but to restate they are: 1. Righteousness 2. Sanctification 3. Separation. Giving our will to God to control is the first steps in becoming righteous because we cannot live in the spirit of God on our own willingness to be good. That's why it took Christ's coming down to us himself to be our perfect sacrifice for sin before we could be forgiven. Sanctification simply means that when we do give ourselves to him he will set us apart to become his own people. He does that by beginning to change the way we think and feel about this world. He opens up our eyes to the truth about what this world is and who we are meant to be. He sets us apart from all others in the world because of that view of life. Our separation from this world becomes natural because not only do we feel different about this world, but this world will feel different about us to, and it will show in the way this world treats us as compared to others who live in with its who are not in Christ. Scriptures talk about this even more in the book of Romans chapters 6 and 7.

There are many things that we don't really understand about what happens as we give ourselves a way to God's will for us, but we do know one thing; life becomes better and better for us and those around us as we continue to grow closer to God. If you want to know true happiness you can find it by trusting in God's promises to you. Find someone who you can trust in Christ to speak with and set up times when you can get together just to talk about your life in Christ and study the word of God together. That is called mentoring guns Holy Spirit and it is want the church was really meant to do in this world for us. You can find even more about how God can change your life completely by continuing to read together in Romans eight because it talks about what God causes to happen in your life as you live for him. If you have any questions that I can help with than writing to me right here. May you rich and blessed God through your life in him.
