The Holy Spirit at work in each believer
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
We have been studying about how the Holy Spirit works with hearts of the believers in Christ, but now we need to also understand a little bit more one goes in to how the Holy Spirit does his work. All throughout the book of Corinthians Paul talks about how the Holy Spirit enlightens or illuminates our mind in Christ to understand what the word really means. Most of what we know when understand about the way Christ works through his Spirit in us is found in the various letters that Paul wrote to the churches. Paul speaks in Romans about God's spiritual renewal of our mind and our heart about how we become transformed because of that renewed spirit. In the book of Ephesians he also speaks of that same renewal again. We are the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit within us we need to keep ourselves as open and clean as we can to God spirit being working this. The Holy Spirit is Vincent to us to comfort us and to guide us. It is a Holy Spirit that sets us aside sets us apart from this world as he teaches us the truth about God's word. I believe with all my heart that it is the good news from Jesus Christ in the act of his personal sacrifice for our sins that should be in the center of why we worship or do anything in our relationship with Christ. Our love shown for God should be what prompts us to want to give back to God a living sacrifice that is acceptable, and then the Holy Spirit takes the sacrifice of ours and sets us aside from the world, he starts to work a transformation in our spirits that lead us closer to God and further from this world. In the first book of Corinthians Paul writes that the Holy Spirit should be the one to tell the servants of God what to say just as the Holy Spirit directs missionaries were to go. The Holy Spirit helps with our infirmities; he helps in the things that we are weak in. The Holy Spirit also tells us where not to go, and he also tells us many times who to avoid in this world. I firmly believe that as we get closer to the end times we will find the Holy Spirit at work in the people of God to discern the fruit of the spirit in others as we meet them. I do not believe that everybody who is a part of the church is also a part of God.
I'm finding more and more different people who seem to be planted within the body for the express purpose of causing division among the people. Whenever there is a difficult teaching to deal with these people tend to pop up with all kinds of confusing takes on what the true meaning of that word is. The Holy Spirit is a great part of the writing of the Bible, the Holy Spirit is the inspiration of the Scriptures: 2 Tim 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21. In 1 Peter 1: 10-11 it was the Holy Spirit that predicted the sufferings of Christ. All through the Old Testament prophets the Holy Spirit spoke through people like Samuel as he did all the other profits. The Holy Spirit spoke by mouth and were from ancient times and Hebrews 10 tells us he spoke with prophetic songs. Actually all Scripture was written by the Holy Spirit in one form of the other, and his teachings were by the remembrance of what Christ said so the spirit of God will guide you to complete truth. God through the power of the Holy Spirit illuminates us the spirit calls us to remember Christ's teachings at the right time at the Right Pl., Matthew 22:29. The power of the Scripture through the Holy Spirit can never be broken and we are literally cleansed through the word God's Spirit speaks through us and in first Corinthians we know these things are given freely to us by God through his Spirit. In the book of Psalms 119 the word tells us"open our eyes to behold the wonderful things from thy law"
And finally the Holy Spirit unites us with the word of God, not dividing us in any way. That statement is only true if we all stay in the word of God, and in the teachings of Christ. It was one of the things that Christ promised to us; that the Holy Spirit would be our comforter our guide our counselor, with the Spirit is also our power and liberty that is characterized in the man who is filled with God's spirit. God has not promised to bless empty speech, he tells us in second Timothy thy word is truth equipped, it is a way of conviction, it is the site of all things laid upon and become bare. I believe that the Holy Spirit is at work today and I believe that the Holy Spirit is using the word of God today in ways that we can't even fathom. It is my prayer that we would all stay centered in the teachings of Christ, and by doing so allow the Holy Spirit to do his job through us. We have a long way to go... The road is long and rough, and in many ways filled with difficulty, but it isn't something that we cannot navigate if we have the light of truth that we can shine on each and every obstacle in our way. That light can only be shined through the power of the Holy Spirit being used by the Christian through discernment, and prayer, and meditation upon the word of God. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
