Preparing the soil for growth
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
The purpose of this study series, and in fact anything that I write is to awaken the body of Christ to its original purpose in Christ's spirit. That purpose scripturally is to develop a relationship both with one another and with God the father as family members, and to prepare our spiritual lives for the transformation that God intends for us to have as we grow into an adult state in Christ preparing us for an eternal life in God's presence.
In order for us to do that we have to prepare the soil of our lives for growth. Hebrews 10: 12 says "but Christ gave himself to God for our sins; one sacrifice for all sins"I like what author and minister Bob Gass wrote in his devotional book"A fresh word for today". He said"if you were to suddenly die and stand before God and he should ask," why should I let you and they have been?" What would you say? He said you wouldn't believe the answers that he received, but the best came from a teenager who wrote," I'd say I'm standing on the finished work of Christ. No less will avail and no more is needed" 1 Peter 2:24 tells us"He bore our sins in his own body on a tree".
In the Old Testament the priests were commanded to take the ashes from burnt offerings, sprinkle them on the ground and stand on them. They were standing on the finished work. In the early West the pioneers greatest fears were not Indians as much as wild fires. When confronted with one of these fires the wise wagon Masters would have the wagons back into the safest burnt to the ground because the fire would not come back to it once it passed. One of the greatest ways that we can begin to prepare our spirits for the journey ahead is to deal with the soil we grow on. Before we can grow successfully we must go through the fire and then deal with the burnt ground at her feet. How quickly we are willing to deal with that fire will depend on how much damage is done by. Death to this world is inevitable, but what we give to God completely is our choice as we go through it. Are we standing on a soil that is ready for a new life and growth?
Are you hungry and thirsty after a relationship with God? I believe that is the question that brought you to this place and time in your life. Have you been looking for a way to have a serious relationship with father? Have you found it? Are you looking for a way to grow personally without taking you away from the church that you are in right now? We are all called by God to work in Christ, and some are chosen to work because they cannot contain it in their soul. That is why I have done this study series in this blog so that it will bring us back to the truth about the church today, and about what the father really wants from our lives. I can honestly say that what I write to you is coming through the power of the Holy Spirit and not me as a man. I have used many different names and writing these lessons down. Lately I've been calling them point of light. The purpose is simple... It is the calling out of the bride of Christ from among the nations of the world, and it starts with us. That's a tall order, and very scary because it is so much bigger task than we can handle alone and that is why it must be done according to Scripture. God is the one who is calling us out from among all kinds of denominational backgrounds to give an account for who it is we say we are in Christ, and to that closer walk with him. God is not calling us to leave the church that were worshiping at or join a new church or group believers, but to bring him back with us what he teaches us into our worship services and various family bodies of believers. These writings are intended to show us who is responsible in God's eyes for what we do in the church, and then focus on the foundations of our faith in Christ just the way that Christ taught us. Hopefully when we discuss here will teach us what it means to rise and walk in newness of life. In my heart I believe that these teachings from the Holy Spirit start with the men of the church by showing them the importance of developing unity and a network of security within the body they worship and with one another so that the church itself can gain a sense of security that it may never have had before this. I believe that it is time for us to discuss and explore the gifts of very diverse spiritual fruits that should both look for and put to work the men of the church is God brings us into worship together. I hope you will not hesitate to join me in these discussions... May you richly bless God through your life in him.
