THE SECURITY OF THE CHRISTIAN

Greetings in Jesus:

Security has been a long time subject of interest for me among Christians.  The reason is that we have long known the attitude of this world concerning God's word, and what this world did to our Lord and Savior.

When I look at the needs of the Christian community as it faces this world in the coming months I see a desperate need for us to band together to create some sense of security for our families and friends.  That mark of the beast may not be too long from becoming a reality in the near future, and the need to understand what it will take for the child of God to survive will depend on how self sufficient we are as a group of people as this world turns quickly against us just as it did Jesus.

One of the things that I have noticed is our need to be of one mind in our efforts to survive; and that basically means that we have to turn to one another in providing a type of security in both skills and service needs.  That means to me that just like we find the people who have come as refugees into a new country have banned together in neighborhoods like New York or any other large town so it is with Christians as we have to deal with a world that is not our real home any longer.  Buying and selling needs to come more in focus with our faith and trust not only in God , but in one another as well.  How we do this is a subject that we should talk about more often before we are forced to seek out one another in the face of a crisis created by the social setting around us.

Within every church there are skill sets that are used everyday in the men who labor for companies they earn their income from.  There are skills as well that men and women have apart from their lively hood  that are very important to others.  We have neglected to find out just who knows how to do what within our church groups.  One of the reasons is that we have long found ourselves with little contact being developed between church members during the week.  We don't really know that much about one another's abilities or likes and dislikes, talents or desires.  I feel that God would have us to become closer to one another in our daily lives so that we know who we can network with to find different kinds of help in times of difficulty.  There is absolutely no doubt that difficulty is coming for the Christian to buy and sell ...find ways of barter or trade in these coming social changes that are designed to weed the child of God out or eliminate us all together.  I want to spend just a little more time with you on this subject...and I would like to get your feed back on this idea of developing a Christian security net for our families for what we may well face in the next few months.  Let me know what you think...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
