CLINGING TO GOD
Greetings in Christ:
There are many Christians today who simply do not understand what it means to let go of this world, and to cling to Christ. In the development of any kind of ministry there is a point of commitment where we lay must lay aside our loyalties to self, firmly reject the influences of the world in making up our minds; and then follow God's word that is given to us with one heart and one mind.
We do have an obligation to one another in this life. It is a part of growing up in Christ that we hear of as being a part of the different stages of spiritual growth; or transformation that we hear about. I would like to think that how to love and care for others is a part of the natural spiritual process of learning the family rules for respect and love within the Kingdom of Heaven. The word tells us that we should naturally prefer one another over the world around us. This will take a long time for some of us because we may have never been exposed to putting others first in any way in this life. The idea of building a security net for the protection and safety of not just ourselves but for everyone else within Christ is something you have not seen a need for in the past in your life, but i can assure you as time continues on we will see some very strange things happening That we would have never before thought possible.
The very lives that we have lived growing up ha changed so dramatically that we can no longer recognize them. We may look upon it as progress, but we can also see that the progression is toward a darker future that we would have never have voted for had we only known the character of those whom we have blindly placed in charge over us. Among the first steps in our effort to find security in this world through Christ is to fight against the division from one another which we have so easily accepted over the last three generations. Once we are again unified in Christ as scripture tells we should be then we can once again trust those whom we seek to lead us because we will no longer search for the truth outside of Christ.
The decision for us to start to cling to God rather than this world is the second of many ares that we must decide on. We can see right now how silly it is to trust this world...and although Government affairs are only a small part of that trust needed; we find that our accountability to make the right choices and do things responsibly sticks out like a sore thumb. " come let us reason together" lets make the right decisions by getting involved with those issues that affect us all. Let us bring the principals of God into the conversation and those things that have given us truth and guidance in our lives. If we can not find these things witin our churches then where are we supposed to go to find them? May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
