THE REAL FAMILY OF GOD

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus:

Slowly we begin to make the journey back into the discussion of personal security with the Christian faith.  In the blogs before this much has been said about our personal preparedness in Christ to bare spiritual fruit. I would however like to also deal with the very real threat of division that keeps us from having and sustaining unity.
d prayer
Acts 2:42-47  "they devoted themselves to the Apostle's teachings, and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and the wonders, and the miraculous signs that were done by the Apostles.  All the believers were together, and had everything in common"

...I want to stop in that mid thought for a second to explore just what that meant.  We  know that much of the personal preparation needed in the development of our relationship with Christ deals with just what we devote ourselves to on a daily basis, but that is also true as we develop relationships with one another.  Everything we need in any relationship with another person must also first be rooted and grounded in the rich and new soil the Kingdom of Heaven provides for us. That means that not only do we grow i Christ, but every relationship that we first plant in and keep in Christ grows along with us.

The relationships of those who worshiped together went much deeper than that of kindness for a short period during worship services; mostly those relationships grew much deeper through developing into close family ties.  In many cases people would develop meant much closer relationships within the Spirit than they ever could with someone in the world...even their own flesh and blood.  To these people breaking of bread mcluded much more than a sacrament  as they began to share meals together in their homes treating one another as family...Spiritual Family.   As they continued to encourage each other in prayer and fellowship their spiritual bonds of love and trust increased, and so did their abilities to tear down the walls which this this life had built and maintained through deceit and lies. In truth unless we purposefully develop a mind set to be family with one another in Christ we will find it almost impossible to be in a state of unity.  "blood is thicker than water" and when we see each other as more than friends...more than people whom we love in Christ we will begin to see what it means to be in one another as Christ is in us And as He is in and with the Father  Think on these things...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
