WHAT YOU DO IN PRACTICE IS WHAT YOU DO IN PERFORMANCE

Greetings in the name towns all through the of Jesus:
before I have over 30 years in teaching vocal techniques...I started teaching toward the end of my singing Carrier.  I learned my vocal lessons from professional quartet members back stage as they warmed up before performances at various  all night Gospel Sings held in High School auditoriums through out the Bible Belt towns of the 1960's.  Traveling around with professional quartets and learning the music that was closest to my heart gave me a great chance to learn from the best vocalists of that time.  One of the major lessons learned was that what ever you do in rehearsal is likely what you will do in your performance of a piece of music...if you rehearse it wrong then you will sing it wrong!

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 Paul speaks of everyone who runs in a race prepares for that race, but still only one can win the prize of first place at the end of the race. It still rings true today that what we spend our time rehearsing will be what we preach or proclaim to the world around us whether we are conscious of it or not.  There are many Christians today who sit under the teachings of a denominational doctrine that does not hold up to the standards of scripture.  If we go about our lives holding up a banner of doctrines that we cannot completely agree with spiritually we become more hypocritical every day.

With the exception of the leadership most people do not fully understand the points of doctrine that their church brand believes in.  There is no wonder why there tends to be conflict in the various church bodies from time to time when somethings get questioned.  Have you ever noticed how all of the churches services are pretty much the same on the surface?  It isn't until we really get to the point of joining the church body that we find out what those true core beliefs really are...I believe that we need to know andwhat we are proclaiming to this world that we believe, and then be able to defend it through a scriptural understanding of what that belief means.  Most all of the differences we have from church to church have nothing to do with our salvation; but rather it is those areas of tradition and worship of God that has continued to separate us.  In order for us to be unified in God's Spirit we must first be obedient to God's Spirit and not our own.  God calls each of us to be keenly aware of the difference in doing things our way and in doing things His way.    God's way leads to unity in His Spirit, and our way leads mostly to the division we see see today between people trying to have it our own way...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
