THIS WEEK IS ABOUT EASTER
Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus:
Everything that we do and say during the year is centered around this most Holy act and sacrifice from God to us . Without this gift to us being given that once again opens up a way to have a relationship with God there would be no salvation or acceptance of our love from God.
It is really this very point that God is trying to make to us, and that men continue to try to manipulate through their own wisdom that is so important. How badly have we taken this concept from God out of context? When we hear the words " Jesus came to take away the sins of this world" what is the message that we are getting from that? Unless we dig much deeper than what those words are saying we have a completely false sense of what that means. The problem is that because of our own laziness to find out the truth and to obey the word of God we just let the words ride in the hearts and minds of people, and that in itself allows the enemy to finish teaching them. If we were to talk to anyone on the streets today who have been taught this they would say " Jesus came to save us"...nothing else would ever be said because most of us agree without really understanding the rest of the story.
We can sing " Jesus loves me this I know for the bible tells me so" all of our lives and still be allowing Satan to finish what we started by simply not testifying about what it all means. God spent all of Jesus ministry trying to tell us what our part of Salvation is all about. It involves our will being given over to God in exchange for our transformation, and our obedience to Christ as our Lord and Savior. It involves a complete relationship with God the Father through His only begotten Son Jesus, and it includes our relationship producing fruit of the Spirit of God who is to dwell within us as we live out this life.
I am amazed at the number of people in our churches whom do not understand that...and I am amazed at the number of pulpits in our country which never teach the whole truth about Easter. Everything else that we teach is hinged on people understanding what this gift from God means to us. There are so many who still stand at the starting point of their life with Christ never having taken even one step in running the race, and who are being told that God has already done it all for them...just believe. I have found that some of the worst demons in hell believe more so than our church goers do, the the difference is in obedience to the word about our growth and development. May I ask you where are you right now in all of this? You still have the time to change...start right now! May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
