BELIEF...KNOWLEDGE...WISDOM

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus:

I don't have any doubt as to the belief of Christians in the reality of Jesus or in the purpose of Salvation...but I do have a problem with most peoples acceptance of it as a real part of their lives.  When it comes down to it I have only known a few people to really experience the full measure of belief in Christ, and for those people it was because of the experiences they allowed themselves to have with God personally.

Jesus made a claim that said " If we truly believe we can do all things"  Matthew 21:18-22 is where Jesus demonstrated the true power of belief over the things of this world by cursing the fig tree, and then watching as it withered before the disciples eyes.  I realize that the real difference in the faith and belief that Jesus had and that of other men was that His was no longer a matter of belief, or faith; but a knowledge, and a wisdom through the power of the Holy Spirit about what was real and what was not real in eternity.

The more I see Jesus in prayer and communication with the Father through the Spirit the more I see Jesus growing in His understanding of what it means to believe in our spirit or our soul about the reality of God.  What I am seeing is a change or a transformation of the very essence of who we are as people as we can cling to Heaven with our whole heart and mind instead of just have a good feeling about it in passing.  Jesus used the term " Ye of little faith" which basically means that we have demonstrated almost no faith at all in comparison to what we could have or should have in this life.  I almost feel as though any of us should be able to do miracles just as Jesus did...but we do not have faith enough to do it.  I have often wondered what I would take for someone to gain that kind of faith in Christ?  I can see people like Paul who tested God by pushing the envelope with regard to his own safety...and indeed he was able to perform miracles according to men and women who saw him.

Peter who was given the ability to bind or release things between Heaven and earth by Jesus...and we see a few of the examples of his great power written in scriptures, but these men knew Jesus in a different way than we do today.  Did they have more faith? Was it a different kind of Faith?   I really think that it was a deeper and more personal kind of faith than what we experience today.  I believe that we are trying to generate and cultivate a faith which is not centered in prayer...in the Holy Spirit's teachings, or in the complete will and leadership of the Father, and in order to change that we must come back to the teachings of Christ alone instead of the developed doctrines that we hang our hats on today.  We need Spiritual wisdom to know what is real from what is false in this life, and we need to completely be able to relinquish control to the power of God's Spirit within us.  It is my prayer that we can begin to see the value in a closer and more focused relationship with God so that we can see some of these things come to pass in this age...come quickly Lord Jesus...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
