WHY PRAYER AND MEDITATION?

If we look for anything in life that will create a turning point for us it will always be to stay as close as we can to God through meditation and prayer.

  It was this combination that Jesus used all through His life to stay in the center of God's will, and I have every reason to believe that it is His intention for us to follow those guidelines.

 There is any number of things that we can adapt to our routine in life that helps us to stay grounded as men and women, but it is only through a concentrated seeking after God that we can unlock a door to understanding the mind of the Father for your life.
  I hear it said all of the time that people want to pray more, but even with the greatest of intentions, it seems to be the one thing that we are the most distracted from doing.  I believe the reason for that is simple; if we pray we gain power, and if we gain power in God's Spirit we are less able to be distracted by the things of this world around us in seeking after God.  I think that the one thing that the enemy does not want us to turn to is prayer because he knows that is the truth.
  Matthew 7: 7 tells us to ask, seek and knock for the guidance of God's Spirit in everything that we do. God has promised us an answer to the things we ask, and guidance for every situation when we seek Him with our hearts intent earnestly.

  This world would like for us to think that we can come up with the answers for ourselves if we simply try harder.  The problem is that perfection in this world is nowhere close to what real perfection Spiritually is, but this world does not want you to figure that out for yourself.  If you did then you would turn to prayer, and to God.  The one thing that Jesus knew above all else is that as a man we cannot be sustained without the power of God's Spirit living within us.  He was the living proof that we can live in the center of God's will if we live in the complete control of the Holy Spirit on a daily and even moment to moment basis, but we cannot jump in and out of that frame of mind and heart without suffering the consequences.  If you are going through difficult times right now the only solution is Meditation and prayer because it takes us out of self and places us in the center of Christ.  Jesus is the only one who demonstrated the complete effect of what that kind of living can do for our relationship with the Father.  Don't be fooled because Jesus has already provided all of the answers to our needs.  All we have to do is to listen to His words of truth.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
