WHAT DO YOU STUDY?
GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:
It may seem like a strange question to ask "What do you study?"
In reality, there is a method behind my madness. That method is that for a great number of Christians today we are studying the wrong things. We tend to use the word of God much like we do any other book; as a textbook of information that gives us the knowledge to use in problem-solving, In truth, we are studying the word of God for the wrong reasons, and in most cases in the wrong ways. This word is not just another textbook, but a living and breathing part of our life that is to be read in the Spirit of Christ.
I see so many today who study the word through the writings and the accounts of Paul or one of the Apostles in establishing various churches like it was a set of rules and documents used to prove a case and point for a creed or doctrine they favor, but never as a way to unlock the true power within their lives. In Philippians 1: 20-25 Paul writes about his own personal expectations in his growth in the Spirit of Christ. "According to my earnest expectations and my hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by my life or by death. For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain, but if I live in the flesh this is the fruit of my labor yet what shall I choose I wot not. For I am in a strait between the two having a desire to depart and to be with Christ, which is far better. Never-the-less to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith".

The whole point here is what Paul looked most forward to was at the end of his journey in the study and the work that he was doing with the various Christians that he labored with. Paul had a goal and he battled with his desire to complete his work and go to be with Christ. There is a final goal for us to have as a child of God, and that is simply to be with God at the end of this Plan of Salvation experience we are now involved with. This is a simple plan that involves our personal obedience to the commands of Christ. The real personal power is found in our prayer life and in our developed faith in Christ to do what He has said He will do. In many ways, it becomes the reverse from our own personal accomplishments in life and a return to a child-like faith and trust in God as we would a parent. The problem is that many of us no longer remember what that feels like because we have all but destroyed the parent-child relationship by listening to the opinions of this world.
I feel the importance from this point that each blog I produce be of quality, and so so much quantity so you will be finding perhaps fewer posts in the future, but with hopefully more meat on each thing I deal with. Dear ones our time is getting short, and I don't only mean for me as a man because I am getting along in years now, but it is also getting short for us to get things right personally with God.
I have placed all of my hope in Christ, and I am either a fool or a wise man because of it. My reasons are many, but mostly because each time I have trusted in Him I have never been disappointed and I cannot say that about anything else I have found in this world throughout my life.. The scripture has proven to be truthful in everything it has said to me personally...even those things I did not want to hear at the time... My needs, my wants and my longings have all changed in my life from the start until right now, but God's message and His promises to me have been truthful, they have never changed even the slightest. Can you say that about anything else in your life right now? May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
