WHAT IS HELL?

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

There has never been a more misunderstood subject than that of  HELL. Most people view it only as some sort of punishment but without any real understanding of what that punishment is.  Our churches today at least in this part of America have lost sight of the concept that along with God's love for us there will be a time when we are all judged as well.
We also need to know that all will be judged, even those in Christ Jesus to see what the worth of their witness and testimony has been for the glory of the Father. Throughout the Old and the Ne49-50w Testaments of the word of God Hell has been prominently mentioned as described by comparison to The "fires of Topheth" or the "World Below", but those are all very general descriptions.  As I had said before Jesus mentioned it as a " broad Road" that leads to Hell Matthew 7:13, and many people will take that path.  Matthew 13: 37-42; 49-50 tells us that we will face an unrelenting time of harvest where all are gathered together and then separated either as good grain or as weeds and chaff which will be bundled together and burned in a fiery furnace.

We should understand that Hell is much more than just a kind of death like we are associated with in this life.  It is not a death like we think of as seeing someone in a peaceful rest in a casket that we view in a physical way.  In the worst kind of way, those who go to Hell will be separated from God's presence. 2 Thessalonians 1:9.  For many today we feel that we are already separated from God, but nothing could be further from the truth.  It is that separation from God in a true sense that I want to mention to you today.  There are many who live in this country who have never known what life is like in the rest of this world because they have never been exposed to the hardships of being without the conveniences we all have in this country.  In the same many we do not understand the amount of grace and love that God bestows upon us on a daily basis.  These are things that are taken for granted as being things that we are owed by the fact that we have life and breath in our bodies.  What we do not consider is that each breath we are given is a gift from God.  The very air that we have to sustain life and all that we have that we so quickly claim as our own would not be here if God had not created it for our benefit.

The facts are that the death that this punishment brings is not death at all; at least not in the sense that we understand it, but rather a complete separation of us from God.  That does not sound too scary until we begin to realize all that God does for us as mankind on a moment to moment basis that hedges us from being overtaken by an evil that was here long before we were. It is, in fact, the very sin that has penetrated this world because we have given the control of this world over to evil. I look at the mind of men today and I see the evil that has influenced them as well as the evil that we have learned to release on one another through our greed, lies, and sin.  Without the presence of God in this world we would all be experiencing Hell, and in fact, it is already present in some place in this world now.  Think of the things that the mind of man have already invented and have learned from the evil that is already here.  My dear ones we are not speaking about death in our sense of understanding of death where there is no longer a sense of feeling or consciousness; but rather a sense of wide-awake feelings, full memories, and ultimate torture that goes on for eternity.  The pain will never end because we will not sleep or have any relief or reprieve from what we feel, and there is no forgiveness because no one will be there who cares or has any compassion.  God will simply remove Himself and all of His protection from you.  Yes! we will live for all eternity! But we need to consider how we will live without God's providence?  Have you ever had a small sore that seemed like it would never go away?  The pain simply stayed with you until all that you could think about was that sore?  That may sound simple to you, but what happens when you cannot get away from any of the pain or the consequences of infection and worsening pain for all eternity?  There have been people who say they have experienced just a moment of Hell and then been allowed to come back to testify to what they have experienced...you would do well to listen to them. You can read further about Hell in Revelation 19:19-21.  Those who are not written in the "Book of Life" Revelations 20:7-15 will not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
