TESTING YOUR FAITH
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
After praying about this for a while I began to realize how much we take for granted that we believe. When we hold a belief in our heart it becomes a strong part of our approach to God and our expectations of ourselves. There are several areas of belief that I would like to deal with this next week. While very few of these things really deal with our salvation there are many of them that tend to drive us crazy when it comes to our being able to fellowship with one another.

Many of these things have to do with how we grow in Christ as the foundations of our faith, and how easy it is to get sidetracked from the study of the most important foundational parts of what Christ's message was to us. There are many people who have gone the root of being very spiritual on the surface, but not very deep in the understanding of what Jesus actually wanted us to know about salvation. It is a pity that these people get caught up in that trap because they have the heart for teaching the word, but not the understanding of some of the most important things in Christ.
There are also people who choose to listen to only one point of view on things that could be much more meaningful if they understood the context of the scriptures that they cling to. Many people have bought into the prosperity gospel of sowing the seeds of faith in order to receive from God. What they don't see is that the sowing of seeds is not always that of sending money to a ministry they believe in, but living out their faith. In the meantime, there are many who are happily prospering on those money seeds that you send with the hope of getting a blessing back. Many of these people are living high on your blessings given to who you think is God, but who in reality is another man. It is time that we test our faith in some of these things that need to be held up against the truth of God's word and held in the context of what Jesus was really sayingThis coming week I want to get into perhaps some of the lesser things of importance in scripture that we tend to get hung up in. There are many areas that we can deal with from the importance of healing, and faith in the church to that of the workings of gifts. Once again as we speak about this I want to point out what Jesus actually said, and who and why He would say such a thing. Once we begin to see the truth about some of this perhaps we can once again draw closer to one another in faith toward being of one mind and one heart. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
