DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE BEING WATCHED?

Greetings in the name of Jesus our Lord:

Some people love it when others watch them because it makes them feel important. Others shy away from ever being seen because they don't want to make a mistake, they don't want to be seen as wrong or stupid in some way.  It is important for us all to know that no matter if we like it or not we are being watched by someone in some fashion almost 24 hours a day.

It might be from an electronic surveillance or through people keeping tabs on our lives and values in a general sense, but without any doubt, the world is in some way watching you.
The important thing to remember is that we cannot avoid being seen by the world around us and although we are being watched we also need to understand why.  Someone out there thinks that you are worth watching.  We don't often think about that kind of thing as we go through our day, and yet our lives do tend to influence at least 12 other people around us in some way. The people that we are influencing may be people that we are not even aware of caring at all about what we do or say or how we live our lives, but they are watching. Some people are watching to try to catch us saying or doing something that is against what we say that we believe as a kind of GOTYA! moment.  They want to make themselves feel better because they are somehow jealous of your reputation.  Others may be genuinely looking to your life as a guide for how they should deal with something in their life, but they feel they can't talk to you directly about it because they are embarrassed.  There are people from all age groups and walks of life that may at some time tune into who you are to find answers that they don't have and we will never know who they all are.  Jesus taught us to realize we all will be seen.  If we are living for God we might as well be a city set on a hill in the middle of the night with every light turned on because that is how much people will watch us  The heart of this world is asking " Can this be true?"  No matter what they may say to you know that they are watching you to find out what the truth is within you.

There are some people; those who want to be watched by others, who have a target audience. These are made up of people whom they want to influence in some way.  The problem with that is that we rarely influence those whom we are trying to influence, but often give the wrong influence to those who really are watching us.  In many cases that become the small child who has chosen you as a kind of mentor even though you may be totally unaware of it.

Our lives should be the simple reflection of the light that we see coming from Jesus Christ shining through us to those around us at all times.  Our first duty is to get our mentor right.  We need to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and Him only so that no matter who is watching our lives the result will always be the same.  " For me to live is Christ, and for me to die is gain."  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
