Man's understanding of love
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
For the greater part of the 2000 years since Christ's death burial and resurrection from the cross of Calvary his followers have been trying to understand the God's love for them. We have vandalized it, scrutinized it, divided it up and digested it in so many ways yet we still do not understand it. I believe that God's love for us is very simple; so simple in fact that it is we who have made it and possibly difficult to understand. As men and women we have written some of the most beautiful love letters ever created for the sake of describing love to one another." How do I love the! Let me count the ways" the fact is we have had the answers to our return of God's awesome love for us all the law but like the scholars of all we have stumbled over the simple truth that God wants to have a meaningful relationship with, yes even a love affair!
For any of us who have experienced the pangs of love in our hearts for another we know to will that true love dictates how we think, what we do, how we talk about the person with love, and in general how our lives are conducted. As young lovers we cannot wait until the telephone rings and we can hear our lovers voice. As mature lovers we are lost without the presence of our lover in our lives. Most of us have known the temptation brought about by another potential lover once we have dedicated ourselves to someone and the agony that it causes. All of these feelings are true feelings about real love in our lives yet we cannot seem to understand that God wants us to love him in such a deep compassionate way is to bring him into our everyday lives for the good and the bad. It becomes for the better or the worse, for the richer or the poor. He wants the real kind of human love we experience for one another in our relationship with him because he knows he has a chance to love us completely then as in no other way. As imperfect as we are we still have God's heart just like King David did. We must seek God's heart however in our world and in our lives for him to be a factor there.
It isn't that we don't know how to love the father, as he would want us to; it is set we have not allowed ourselves to understand he has created us to love him in our own special way; faults and all in order to have a complete and loving relationship with us. That is why he sent his son Jesus to die for the sins past, present, and future that we might be set free to love him in that way. Our father has given us the tools we need to complete the mission Jesus started when he died on the cross. What kind of law would it take for you to give your complete life for someone? Ask yourself would it be for your children? Would it be for your spouse? Would it be for a family member? Would it be for God your father? While it is always difficult for us to think about death we need to realize that death is not the end, but only the beginning of life. By God's grace alone are we see by his strength and his countenance over Satan and over evil why is that we labor so to live in this world when we know it is in vain? What we have and do here is only the beginning of our life in Christ. Do we not understand that death is the beginning of life itself? Can we not see this all around us? Does the green grow without first the seed dying? Can the mighty oak tree begin until the acorn dies within the ground? Can we know our full potential until after we are prepared for life?
This life is not the end but the beginning before the beginning. No matter what our life decisions are we will live forever. What are eternal experiences will be is based upon the germination process we go through here and now. Good green or chaff, mighty oak tree or a withering week, a graduation from this beginning to what is life, or a failure to realize what it really is God has in store for those who willingly love him. We are all right now planted together, the wheat and the weed. We will all die before then new life, it's as it is meant to be. What will we emerge as will depend on who we are now. What is your free will? What do you want for your future life? We all have bit even now, but what will God the father harvest and keep or what will he harvest and then toss into the fire to be burnt? Made you richly bless God to your life in him.
