Point of light: what are the elements of a good relationship?

Send you greetings in the name of Jesus our Lord:

Before we can really understand what it is to have a good relationship with ourselves or with someone else whether it's a soulmate or whether it's a friend, or even a relationship with God the father, we must understand what the elements of having a good relationship are, and then be able to implement them in our lives.

I believe this means taking apart the concept of love that we have learned in this world and putting it back together with the aid of God's Spirit. Love is the first part of the theme of a relationship, but where does it come? What is the basis for our loving someone? What is the basis for someone else loving us? Both Solomon and David had much to say about the price and value of love in the book of Proverbs 15:17 it says"better of meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred"this verse indicates that love dwells in places, and is subject to certain traits, so as loving a person of God like the Holy Spirit ... Or is it merely a nameless faceless gift from God? I think that we have?

Christ speaks in terms of someone who shows more love to his or her father or mother or sister or brother that God is not being worthy of God. Matthew 10:37-39 "anyone who loves the father or his mother more than me is not worthy of me, anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me, and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whosoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find." That raises a great question in my mind about the value that God places on love. At first it may sound like a great jealousy on God's part, but is God seeks out perfected love which can only be found through self will.

Once again we have an example of a face of love that is shown by God to us in Luke 6: 31-35. We see the disassociation of love from the desires of this world. The fact is that we are to love in such a way that we can give openly to one another without the fear that we will not have enough for ourselves. Giving without thought of being repaid becomes a theme with Christ throughout his ministry yet we would hardly even consider just giving something away today because we would be thought as idiots. Even in giving to charities we at least take back at tax credit. What does that say about the kind of love that we show to one another compared to God's love for us? John 3;16 tells us that God loved us because he did not want us to be harmed instead he gave everything that he had; the greatest love in his heart which is his son so that we would have life. John 15:13 tells us that the greatest example of love for one another is that of laying down our lives for one another. Still in this God chose to teach by example what real love is. It is the giving of the most precious thing that we have to another because of our love for them. The word didn't say it was subject to those who were the closest to us but to anyone else who is our brother or our sister. We are going to be looking at further elements of a good relationship incoming blocks next time will be talking about life and our relationship to that; may you richly bless God through your life in him.
