A point of light: the most precious thing we have to give
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Life is the most precious thing that we have, and so it is the closest high to love that we can have because of how precious it is to us. In the book of Genesis 2:7 the word speaks about God creating mankind and breathing the breath of life into us in creating a living soul. Life and breath are tied very closely together. The word speaks to us often of the Spirit of God is being read into us, and so as men and women we breathe God's very spirit each day we live. It is the spirit of God, which even gives us life, the life that we have here inside of us, and which is the very breath we breathe according to Job 27:3. When we talk about life will also have to bring up the tree of life, we also see that God upon the creation of the Garden of Eden created two trees. One was the tree of life and the other the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Those trees still exist although not in this world, but rather in God's kingdom is found in Genesis 2:9. Also we read in Genesis 3:22-24 that once we had committed the sin of eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil God could not take the chance that we would not also eat of the tree of life, and that is why he had to expel us from the garden of Eden. Once mankind was gone from the garden we no longer see this on the earth, but someday I look forward to tasting his fruit according to Revelation 2:7.
There is another part of our relationship with God the comes is understanding and with wisdom from God to men we cannot truly love the things that we don't allow ourselves to bond with. We cannot bond with someone or something that we cannot understand. Guns relationship with mankind has been based upon our understanding him. He has chosen us to walk and talk with, and he is chosen us to love his family and to him. God's chosen to love us as he loves Christ will be sent to earth for our sake. One of the very best Scriptures on wisdom comes from Ecclesiastes 1:1-18. In the Scripture David describes the process of wisdom and what wisdom does in our lives as we allow ourselves to be taught and to come closer to God. People don't seem to understand why those who are called toward wisdom becomes so sorrowful and distant from this world in yet it is a part of the process of our preparing to go home. I want to share some of these Scriptures with you beginning with this one we find in Ecclesiastes." The words of a teacher son of David King in Jerusalem meaningless meaningless says the teacher. Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless. What does a man gain from all his labor and which he toils under the sun? Generations, and generations go, but the earth remains forever. The sunrises and sunsets, and hurries back to where it rises. The wind blows to the south and turns to the north, round and round it goes ever returning on its course. All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the streams come from, there they return. All things are wearies, more than one can say, the I never has enough of see, nor the ear it's filled hearing. What has been will be again, what his been done will be done again, there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one can say look! This is something new? It was already here long ago, it was here before our time. There is no remembrance of men of old, and even those who are yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow. I the teacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem I devoted myself to study and to explore I wisdom all that is done under heaven. What a heavy burden God had laden on man. I have seen all the things that are done under the sun, all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind. What is twisted cannot be straightened, what is lacking cannot be countered. I thought to myself, look I have grown and increased in wisdom more than anyone who has ruled over Jerusalem before me. I have experience much of wisdom and knowledge. Then I applied myself to the understanding of wisdom, and also madness and folly but I learned at this, too, is a chasing after the way for with much wisdom comes much sorrow, the more knowledge the more grief." This passage of Scripture simply shows us the folly of trying to seek answers on our own. While we are not created stupid and without knowledge or the ability to learn we cannot understand God and his desires for us through surrounding ourselves with the knowledge of the world. Guns desires for us causes us to seek less value in the world around us the more we are drawn to the kingdom of heaven. We should see how all things have become a form and a type of vanity. In the next blog want to get more in to the book of Ecclesiastes to understand the aspects of this vanity of life so that we can better understand God's desire for us. May you richly bless God through your life in the him.
