A point of light: what is time for?
As always I send you love and greetings in the name of Jesus:
From the very beginning let's get a sense of what this world thinks of time is be. Webster's dictionary tells us in part it says time is a particular moment, a period of duration. It is a concept of past, present, and future in sequence. It is an opportunity or an occasion. It is a rhythmical arrangement of beads within measures or bars.m is to ascertain, time taken like in a race with a competitor, or selected as a precise moment to be measured.
The one thing that we can say about time that is in that description is that it has been created. Time began and will sooner or later in, our lives are very short, spent of its length. For anyone to begin to understand time we misuse the one gift the we have been given that it that time cannot affect, and that is our will to choose. How we view time is greatly affected by our choices in life. It is those choices they can make time miserable for us, or set us free by making it become profitable for us to learn from. You see it doesn't matter how much time we spend in a place or in a situation so much as how we choose to spend the quality of that time. Time becomes an issue only because of physical restraint. Time is not an issue of spiritual restraint, our choices are. Many of you walk a certain walk with God each day, and have to make choices each day based upon the world around you. Sometimes you succeed, and sometimes you fail, but if success or failure is your measurement of spirit and something is still missing from your walk with God. If we can begin to look up on time differently then we can begin to be effective in our use of it to get closer to the father.
While time is in our face always it is still a commodity. It is not eternal, and it possesses no ability on its own. What time does is give us the potential to be developed either as good or evil in our life here. Time offers the opportunity to sway moment from negative toward positive things in life with just the right in the right direction, and that in part is why I write these blogs. We must also realize that if time is left to sit on stirred in our life it can become like water when it stagnates because of no movement. It is said that time can heal all wounds, but that is true only if our soul is allowed to move toward care and love instead of unresolved issues of hate which have no real reason attached to them. To just set goals with the time that we have is not enough unless we can see progress made. Success is in the journey we take time and not in the destination. Perhaps we have overlooked the real reason for time. It could be the equal gift or talent given to each servant for God to see how well it is used when he returns? Let's pray together, you might even want to read this out loud I know it will help. Father: I know you are real. I feel the sin in my heart, and I choose to ask you to please give me. I believe in Christ Jesus your son and what he did for me on the cross. I accept him as my Savior. Father I choose to open up my heart to you and receive your love your plan for me right now. Take my mind and my body and help me to spend the rest of my time in this life loving you and letting you love others through me. Thank you for your gift of time to love you, and now help me find someone else to share you with. Amen... Now time just gotten much less important to your future because you now have eternity. We must ask ourselves from this point what is best served by our time? Is it scrapping with the world around us to gain temporary possession or temporary things, or is it in sending materials to an eternal place untouched by time and decay so that we can build the most perfect home we have ever dreamed of for an eternity? God is given us many wonderful promises that we can fill our time here with. Each day we can build on these promises by attaching our hopes and dreams to them instead of to the lies and the deceit that we know is what this world offers us. You have a clear-cut choice even with the definition this world hands about time. You have a particular moment in which you can make a decision to change your life over the duration of time that is left. Take the concept of sin past, present, and future, and allow God to wipe it from you making you clean and whole again. This opportunity can be a real occasion for celebration in your life. Let God put all of the pieces of you together in an orderly fashion so that things once again have rhythm and arrangement of beads that you can live with. It is time to ascertain to take back the time and measure out the course, and finish the race with God. We are measured by that choice me as to how well we will spend time. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
