WOLVES AND SHEEP
There are plenty of Wolves in Sheep's clothing out there today!
One of the main things that we need to be concerned about is that we never stray from the word that Jesus has already given us to preach concerning our Salvation. In our Men's study on Thursday Nights we are just now finishing up the book of Romans and it always amazes me how many people that Paul ran across who turned out to be less than they first appeared to be to him.
Some of these people left him in some pretty difficult situations in his ministry because they simply were not true to Christ, and I have found that to be true in my own work and ministry as well.
We all have a chance to choose as to whom and what we will serve each day we live, and while we may win or lose a battle here and there everyone should always know what team we play for.. It is easy for us to get mixed up from time to time or to even be misdirected by a sense of desire to do right turned a little off color from time to time. What we cannot afford to happen is to get deluded in our sense of purpose, and deceived by this world into thinking that GOOD is bad and BAD is good.
As I look around me I can see a great number of people who have allowed themselves to think a little differently about the same sins that only a few years ago they were solidly with the scriptural teaching on. We can see these sins flaunted in front of us today as though they were taunting us with them. My friends this world is not going to get any better, in fact it is not meant to get any better and some of the only reasons that evil has not run completely rampant is those just like you and me who stand in the gap. We don't seem to consider the fact that we are many time the gate keepers between the wolves and the sheep. If you hear a word that is not quite true or if you see something that does not ring true in your church call it out! Those who are laboring to grow in Christ need your Spiritual wisdom and protection as a part of the family of God in this world. Don't be fearful, and never be deceived by a smooth tongue. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
