ACCEPTING GOD'S LOVE IS ONLY THE BEGINNING
I send greetings in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior: The more I have the chance to share the Gospel of Christ with others the more I see the desperate need for us to have close contact with the lives of those around us, and at all times we need to be supportive of one another as we live out our lives for Christ.
For a great many Christians the journey of their Christian life really kind of stops when they accept Jesus as Lord. We even hear people say the battle is over and the victory is won when we come to Christ and accept His Salvation. The real struggle is just beginning, however, for us to maintain our Christian life in a world that has such hatred for all that is truthful and good in life. It is one thing for us to accept a free gift of love from God, but it is quite another for us to find ways to give that same love to someone else. What I am saying is it is free to accept love, but it is very expensive personally to give love. Because it is so expensive we need help from as many sources as we can find around us that are willing to help us in understanding that love and how we can grow strong enough to give it.
That one of the reasons that it is important that we communicate with one another as openly as we can in God's Spirit for encouragement and support in our efforts. That is what is behind some of my latest thoughts about openly sharing our thoughts, witness and testimonies about encouraging others both with our stories of victories as well as defeats. I can't tell you how many times I run across Christians who need that encouragement today. What I want for you to do is to pray about what God might be laying on your heart to share, and then I will share it with others through this blog. It does not matter where in the world you are we can all share a part of our lives and we can have a viable ministry through the power of God's Holy Spirit. Do you have a story to share or a situation that you need encouragement on? Our real ministry in Christ is to allow God to do His work through each of us to the other. In a great way that is what it will take for us all to survive this world as things continue to grow worse each year. I want you to know that I thank God for each one of you as we serve Him together. Continue to pray for me as I will continue to lift you in prayer each day. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
