THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IN YOU

There seem to be many people who are at odds with their reaction to the HOLY  SPIRIT at work within their lives.

I might say normally that people should not be so concerned about the ways God works in them; only that He does.  In today's environment,however, I am not  so quick to dismiss the confusion about how God's Spirit is at work because of the tremendous  number of people being led astray by false teachers and prophets who are quick to jump on an opportunity to lead someone down a pathway that will not benefit them in their relationship with Christ. Most of these people are much more interested in getting people to support their personal causes and agendas than they are in finding ways for us to serve the Lord of Lords.

  I want to take the time in this message to address what the fruit of the Spirit  is all about, and to reassure you that it does not include "Casting your bread upon the water" or any other act that someone may say you need to do to support a ministry.  What is important is the desire you have to allow God's Holy Spirit to control your life from this moment on.  The Spirit of God was sent to us through the ministry of Jesus Christ to be a comforter,  teacher and guide in all matters spiritual.  When it comes to how and even why we bear spiritual fruit it is always as a direct relationship  we have with Jesus Christ that we have and are enabled to bear any Spiritual fruit.  It has nothing to do with our association or our support of some Prosperity Gospel that is preached that tells us to receive blessings from God by supporting others doing His work.

  Today where ever there is a potential of bringing in money from people  you will find many of these spiritual ambulance  chasers hard at work trying to make themselves front and center to show their work is in the middle of the efforts to help in whatever disaster that is brought about by a world filled with sin and disappointment.  What is important for you to know is that God is not working through any one ministry above another in bringing about love, comfort, or His mercy shown.  Instead men should be working through the direction of God's Spirit to know when and where there is true need and to supply those who would be drawn to Him, because that is His main concern through you and me right now; that the message is given and received in this world.  At first that might seem somewhat calloused and yet when we stop to think about it the only thing that will help to rectify this world is that we would heed the message that Jesus brought to us.  In every place this message has been received just look at the results in the lives of men and women.  In many places we still see the prosperity gospel crying for money to help places after 20 or 30 years in the field. I don't think the gospel takes that long to make a difference if it is preached.  It may well take that long to indoctrinate people into a brand of Christ, but not into a living true relationship with Christ.  The fruit of the Spirit deals directly with doing His will rather than our will and so if you are having questions about  whether or not you are bearing fruit you may want to look at that relationship first before seeking further answers.  My friends it is not the efforts we put into spreading the Gospel that really counts, but how much we allow Christ and the Holy Spirit to do the work through us, and in what ever way He needs us at the time.  We are not an organization but a family in Christ that protects, loves and wraps our arms around those in the family who so desperately need us. Let's start acting like the family that God established in this Earth. May you richly  bless God through your life in Him.
