WALKING IN THE RAIN WITH GOD

When I was a small boy I remember walking in the rain on a Saturday morning to get fresh donuts from a small donut shop that was just a block away from home. As I walked down the street I can remember wanting it to rain harder so I could feel safe and alone under that umbrella because I was walking and talking with God who had me in His protection all along.  I felt that there was nothing bad that could touch me as I walked along that sidewalk back and forth from home to the donut shop on my mission to get Saturday morning breakfast for our family.  Today I know without any doubt that as long as I am in the presence of God nothing will be able to touch me until my personal mission for my Father is complete.  I may suffer great setbacks and disappointments in this life, but I know that I can never be defeated by the enemy as long as I stay in the center of His will for my life.

My life has been fraught with failures as a man, and yet the second part of the story is not about the defeat or the failures, but about the part where I got back up and began to walk in the rain with God. I am sure there are many stories like the one I just shared among the church that has never been shared.

If you have a story that you would like to share I encourage you to do so on this blog page or any time in the future when you might like to make a comment.  One of the most important things about the Christian life is that we can share with one another the things that God has placed upon our hearts.  The people who are a part of the Bride of Christ need encouragement to continue to stand for Christ in the face.  What it will take is the way we start to use the media that is out there like this opportunity to share.  As Christians, we are obligated to share what Jesus has done for our lives no matter how simple it is.  There are people with stories that could be so helpful for others to see and hear to keep them on their feet in Christ; but who never share with the rest of the church because they think their witness is too little or too late in life.  For many years I have asked for people to share their thoughts with me so that we can increase the flow of witnessing within the church body.  I would like to share your stories and witness in Jesus Christ with the body if you would care to write to me and share your stories.

Dear ones our lives are fleeting; one moment we are here and the next moment we are gone just like a puff of smoke.  I believe if we use this blog in the right way; a way of testimony and witness to God in our lives directly that He will protect us as we share along our journey together. Would you like to test that promise?  If you are willing; will you contact me with a witness to God at work in your life so that we might share it with the body of Christ all over the world?  Please pray for me as I pray for each of you where ever in this world you may be as you receive this message. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
