GETTING A COMPLETE PICTURE
I send Greetings in the name of Jesus:
One of the things we never seem to get in this life is a complete picture of what our Spiritual future looks like. I believe there are a couple of reasons for that that perhaps we should discuss today.
In his letters to us as the church Paul continuously refers to the fact that we see through a very veiled glass that is darkened to us, and I believe it is for a very good reason. 1. We cannot know the true impact of our purpose in this life until it is to be revealed to us. That time will come when we have left this plain of existence and have entered into that of our originally created self. Our Spiritual self is the prize for which God fights so hard for. Paul uses the words " Now we look through a glass darkly, but then , face to face we shall know as we are known" 2. I don't think we allow ourselves to get close enough to God's Spirit nor do we allow Him the control that is needed for Him to show us the truth about our future. When we do finally come to a place where we are trusting God enough to listen intently to what He is saying to us we are pulled away from this world almost automatically. As we begin to experience the power and the will of God in our lives we will also start to have bits and pieces of what is to come revealed to us. That is why people like Paul, Peter and those who had a direct contact with Christ were able to have the kind of faith they did, but it is by no means easy to achieve.
We tend to be wrapped up in what we know and can see in this physical world, but we don't seem to realize that the rules that we live by in this world go right out of the window when we break that invisible plane. We have to buy into the fact that what we see is not all that there is to us, and that the word of God is given to us as a guide for allowing our mind and heart to see the spiritual parts of who we are. We need to know at some point that who we are created to be is not at all who we see ourselves as in this world. There is a place within our makeup that God is drawing us to that we cannot fully see here in this physical form. For most of us it takes the better part of a lifetime lived before we can begin to reason out the difference and start to look forward to the future life we will have. It simply takes our going ever deeper with God to begin to see it.
I don't think it is meant to be a great secret to us but rather a total commitment to God that begins to open us up to receiving that kind of information from God's Spirit. While I would very much like to give you clues into your future in Christ it must be you who becomes open to receiving God's plan for you. How do I find that place? It will take commitment to study and prayer for you to find that place where God will begin to reveal things to you; but the journey is well worth the effort.
You will find me always calling you to a deeper place with God from this point because that is the only place in this life that is safe from disaster. Dear ones it will take having a very personal experience with God to convince us that what He iss telling us is real, but I truly believe that is what we need to be doing right now to get a completed picture of who we were created to be. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
