HAVING A RIGHT CHARACTER

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

Sometimes I do not believe that we realize just how rebellious our generation has become concerning our obedience to Christ. I believe that the problem is centered and false teachings that are natural to us as man to be caught up in. The fundamental problem with false teachers is that they are not connected to Christ who is the head of the body of believers. If they had been joined with Christ they could not have taught false doctrine or lived a morally. Anyone who teaches about God without being connected to him by faith cannot be trusted. In the book of Colossians 3: we find Paul explaining what true Christian behavior, or putting on the new self by accepting Christ and regarding the earthly nature as what being dead is all about. We are to change our moral and ethical behavior by letting Christ live within us, so that he can shape us and what we should be. Chapter3: begins by expressing rules for holy living. "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above not on earthly things, for you died in your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, peers, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature; sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these things, the wrath of God is coming. You use to walk in these ways, and the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not light each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its creator. Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised barbarian, safety and, slave or free, but Christ is all and is in all."

For many of us we do not understand what it means that a believer's life is hidden with Christ? Hidden means concealed and is safe. This is not only a future hope the company fact for right now. Our service and our conduct do not earn our salvation, but they are result of our salvation. We need to take this to heart that our salvation is sure, and we need to live each day for Christ. There may be also questions about what it means to put on the new self? It means that you conduct yourself in such a manner that it matches your faith. If you're Christian you should act like it. To be a Christian means more than just making good resolutions and having good intentions; what it really means is to take on right actions. It's a straightforward step that is as simple as putting on your cloths.

For most all of us being a Christian means having a continuing education program in our lives. The more we know of Christ and his work within us the more we are being changed to be like him. This is a process that is a lifelong, and we must never stop learning and obey. There's no justification for drifting along, but there is an incentive to find the rich treasures of growing up in Christ. This all takes practice, and an ongoing review what it means in our life to have patience. It means a concentration to keep in line with God's will. The love of God that is within us has no barriers, it has no nationality, race, or dictation level. There is no social standing found in the love of God; no wealth, gender, religion, or power when Christ is in charge. Jesus Christ breaks down old barriers and accepts all people, to and there is nothing that should keep us from telling others about Christ are accepting into our fellowship in the one who is a believer in Jesus  (Ephesians 2: 14-15) it is time for Christians to be in building bridges instead of walls. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
