A PERSONAL NOTE ON LESSONS LEARNED
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
I have noticed that as we get older the introspection of life starts to be more prominent in our lives which causes me to take a closer look at myself and what I write about. There is a part of me that wants so badly to get closer to you who come here to share these posts. In a way I want the words to become very personal to you so that you can somehow take them deeply into your heart and let them become a party of who you become in life. I believe that is a part of the mission that my life has been sent on by God's Spirit.
Perhaps it is because of my current condition, or the thought that my time with you may soon come to a close but I feel and urgency within me to make the messages that we share together mean something more so than mere words to you; for in many ways each day of my life I have poured out my real heart to you that has hopefully lead you to seek after God. Each time I sit down to speak with you on various subjects I am called back to the concept of what we hear all of the time in our church services, and how very much there needs to be a new discussion brought forth that we can kind of kick back and forth about some things that really do effect our lives.
It isn't always in having a bible study that makes one start to think about the truth; but sometimes it is in pouring out our hearts to one another about life that helps us through the most. The truth will always be that we have all made some stupid mistakes in life. I have myself come to realize that God is not sitting up there taking notes on the mistakes we have made; but rather on the progress we have made in learning lessons from those mistakes. It is pretty easy for most of us to point out the failures in someones life the closer we get to them, and that is probably today one of the reasons we keep everyone at an arms length from us rather than embracing them. The truth is when we see the background story behind all of the great figures in scripture we see a multitude of life mistakes being made. Some of those people we would probably avoid being around in life because of their mistakes made in life, and yet they are remembered for the lessons they learned. For those of us who are caught up in the trap of snap judgment of others being of any use to God's plan because of mistakes made in life I challenge you to take some of your biblical hero's and do some serious research into their actual lives to see the path they went down to become who they were at the end of their journey. For some the mistakes were numerous until they learned the lessons they were being taught.
I have found that more than anything else God desires for us to grow into the people He has created for us to be from the start. God's love is so deep that he will do what it takes for us to learn a lesson in life and then He will move on to the next lesson without hesitation. The point is always this WE NEVER STOP LEARNING! It becomes a matter of making our minds up to be who it is God's will for us to be instead of attempting to be our own creation. That my dear ones is probably the hardest lesson of all to learn. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
