LOOKING CLOSER AT THE REAL MESSAGE OF LOVE TO US
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
When we stop; take a long breath, and meditate for a moment on the things that God has actually said to us as those whom have chosen to believe; not only in the Father, but also in the fact that Jesus is today who He has claimed all along to be...we will begin to see little things more clearly. That is a long sentence to say this: I don't believe that we have done a good job in listening to the GOOD NEWS that Jesus was sent to deliver to us about salvation.
There are any number of things that are being overlooked by the church today simply because we somehow think we already know the answer! The Gospel accounts of the life and ministry of Jesus barely get us started in our training of being able to witness effectively. As an example we have studied Mark as a book for many years, but have never taken the complete text in content to itself.
In the book of Mark we can begin to find the Apostle explaining why Jesus is the Son of God through the simple overwhelming evidence that is given throughout the account of Jesus display of power and authority shown over all of the different mandates of this life. In that display Mark goes through every aspect of Jesus as an introduction of the Son of God to this world. Mark begins with Jesus as a man, and continues through His message and life in this world. He shows Christ's dominance over decease; religion, physical deformity;and the continued rejection of God by the selfish free will of men. Jesus continued to show so much more than just the ability to control the behavior of those around Him as we begin to hear more about the true message that He brought to us from God the Father.
God's concern has always been for our eternal and spiritual soul; which is the essence of who we are made to be, and the conversation that God has always brought to the table deals with the individual calling that God has always had with each of us. That calling continues to lead Him to show different aspects of His control over the elements that have always been beyond our own control. We find not only miracles like Jesus walking upon the waters, but His invitation to us that would allow us to do the same ( If only we could have the faith of a grain of Mustard seed ).. By far the greatest desire for God is our belief in Him as the creator, and in Jesus as the chosen vessel of Salvation to us. It becomes our personal belief and then response to the message and the person of Christ as the Savior and Lord of this new covenant that God has made with us that is the most important thing of all.
It becomes our response to the real message of the Good News of that New Covenant that is the greatest issue...are we understanding what He has really said to us or are we trying so desperately to find a way to manipulate it (like the Scribes and Pharisees did) that we would do anything to try to fool God into taking our word for our faith in Him. We need to realize that all during this time of deceit from us God has chosen to communicate with us through reading our hearts intent.; which we cannot fake. It is this response that we must look more closely at in life becausee it demans a very personal relationship with a very much alive Jesus Christ. I want to take the time in the next blog to deal with some of what we may be overlooking with regard to the truth in the message that Jesus gave to us. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
