CALLED TO A REAL LOVE IN CHRIST JESUS
Greetings in Jesus name:
We often hear the accounts of people whose lives were touched during the earthly ministry of Jesus, and how our society stood against them for the most part. The social structure we live in today has not really changed all that much over 2000 years; we are still guided by those who would use outside stimulants to heard us into certain beliefs in others because we have not allowed ourselves to be touched by the human connection.
It is easy to recall many different times within my own life when I have been forced to deal with a prejudice developed within my life because I would not let myself get too close for fear of perhaps
" GETTING COOTIES"! In the basic parts of who we are there is a desire that we too are not lumped in with those who are scorned in some way by this (unseen) decease. I mention this in the way I have because this is simply another of the many lies told to us in this life by the enemy of God as he continues to use physical parts of life to confuse us about truth. While the customs of our society have changed dramatically over these many years, the basic nature of our human condition has not changed. We still do what we feel we need to do to stay within the graces of society, and still hold to our personal experiences. It is often those personal closely held experiences which determine our acceptance or our rejection of these prejudices. As a white man how can I write off the behavior of someone of a different race when I have never had experience with that culture? We tend to feel that Jesus went out to seek those whom He made contact with, but I believe that as He walked among us He simply came into contact with us as humans, and made sure that each contact made was one which changed their lives in some way.
This change that speak of was not always through some kind of miracle; but rather it was because He cared for them when no one else would. This is probably one of the greatest of God's gifts to the true Christian heart; that we have the opportunity to reach out and change a heart of someone that the world around us thinks is unworthy. This speaks of course in "Not judging a book by it's cover", but there is still something more deep, and that is the ways we have chosen to love God, and then allow Him to love through us to those who cross our pathways each day. I feel that I have been given another chance to share with you some of what God has already placed within me. My gift is that I can continue to pour this information out to you through my soul to yours. There is no doubt that several things arre going on all at the same time, and when we get caught up in the physical way of thinking it is easy to adopt prejudices with one another; but God has not made the Christian heart to work in that manner. I want to continue this week to look at the ways we are loving God, and what the differences are in the ways that He is loving us. What do you think is the real truth about God's desire to save us? What parts of us mean so much to Him? What is our real calling about witnessing to the world and loving others as we love ourselves? May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
