The fruit of the words we speak

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

I recently heard someone speaking about the tremendous disrespect that people have for words today. The fact is that in this society people tend to speak before they think about anything or anyone else but themselves.

That having been said I began to think about the values that God places upon the word, and upon the seriousness that is placed behind the each thing that he has said to us. This does not only include the promises that he has made to love and give mercy and forgiveness upon our acceptance of Christ's sacrifice for our sin, but also the statements that he has made concerning those who reject him. It is less than surprising that we tend to ignore all that is negative and clean to only the positive images that are conjured up in our minds, but if we only take a moment to look at words through God's eyes for a moment we can see that the way we treat our words to others need to change rather dramatically.

I heard at one point that words that we speak tend to be more of a creation than we realize. That could well be truthful having been created ourselves in God's image, but what might it mean to one another?
WORDS AS A CREATION can become many things from a beautiful thing to someone who needs encouragement all the way to a very destructive tool that we use to tear down and destroy one another. Much is being said today about the liable words being used to create dissension and minority groups, but that capability goes far beyond touching those who you may not know personally to; and in particular touching the lives of those closest to you.
CARELESSNESS OF WORDS without realizing the deep hurt they can bring displays not only a lack of respect for those who receive them, but for God as well. While we may say that we are important. Creatures, and that we didn't mean it; sink only if for one moment God would have done that with us. Everything that we believe is based upon the perfect word of God, and upon the fact that we believe that what he said is what he will do with regard to his promises to us. Not only do we daily break promises to ourselves and to others, but to him as well. This reflects upon our personal trustworthiness in his eyes to really mean what we say about our faith and our belief, the sad thing is that it also reflects on how much faith we can have in ourselves when we make a promise to anyone else including to God. It becomes the quickly uttered word carelessly flung out as a response in a heated or rushed moment that can ultimately change a loving moment of care into one of silence and closed hearts.
THE FRUIT OF THE WORDS we bear are probably the greatest example of how these words live on long after they are spoken. While to one person a word that is spoken is carelessly thrown out and can be shrugged off and forgotten, there are others too words take root and grow either to form a beautiful garden, or a series of Bramble's the choke out life the problem is that we can never tell how our words will affect or change in another persons life. Just as the words of life become seeds planted by us in the hearts of others we also plant other seeds that grow within. It is the fruit of those seeds that are planted to take on route that bears various kinds of fruit. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
