What can we do as the church

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

There are millions of people in Christ who are asking the question what can we do to change the world around us? While we are called to be faithful and true to God's word, and to obey his commandments of loving one another there is so much pain and anger from this world that it seems like there can be no progress made. I think we need to concentrate not on the world around us but on our own lives and our own relationship with God.
There is very little that we can do to change what God has said in order that will happen to the hardhearted and the unbeliever of this world except to speak the truth to them of God's purpose in us. Like it or not, we are the light of the world. We are still the only Bible that most people will read in their lifetime. For us it becomes a matter of our own will and faith to do and say what's in our heart, and to live out his commandments for our lives. We are set as examples to this world for what it is to live a life in and for Christ. Because of that what ever it is that we do or say will be interpreted by the world around us to be what we say we believe in. The world will judge not only our life in Christ but also its own acceptance of Christ through the examples we set. That is a very great task indeed and one that we need God's grace and forgiveness to present a truthful and honest picture to the world of what being a Christian really is
.
Sometimes our labors in Christ are hurt more by our knee-jerk response to life around us then by our knowledge of or our words spoken about Christ. We need to always remember that God is at hand and that his power in our life is sufficient in all things that we do and say. What is important, and the most needed at this time is to be honest and truthful about who we are in Jesus; and that may mean letting others see our faults and weaknesses. We may not want the world to see those weaknesses are those failures in Christ, and yet it isn't the failure that prevents someone from being drawn to Christ, it is the cover-up. I believe it is our honesty as people in Christ that makes the difference. Being truthful about our faults, and yet showing others that God will still pick us up dust Asaph and forgive us may be what touches the hearts and minds of those who otherwise would never listen to Christ.

In this age there is little we can do or say by ourselves, it is the power of the Holy Spirit alone who will draw men unto God. We do not and cannot lead another to Christ by our own influence. Only by the prompting of God's Spirit are we able to do or say anything that will influence someone to have a relationship with God. We are but a vessel that God has intended to use for his purpose in this life. It is by the power of God that we are given any task through gun spirit, and it is not by our own desires or efforts that we succeed. I have found that by realizing that I am a vessel used by God that at some point I may become worn out or perhaps broken. It is important for us to remember the call and the cause for which we have been given the gifts of our spirit.

It is not in our own wisdom, but in God's wisdom that I write to you these things at this point in time. There is nothing of this world we can claim as ours it is only borrowed for a time and then someone else takes control of it until it too passes on. It's so important that we realize that we are merely on a journey which has neither begun here nor will it in here. We passed through this way for a reason and we are given the privilege of knowledge and wisdom be on the gifts of Angels. I pray that we will let our time be spent well and our hearts observed much as we travel through this life. God has a purpose in each life he has given this gift of knowledge to. He has a purpose in your time here as well so don't waste it. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
