If God gives me a sign then I will believe

Greetings in the name of Jesus"

There are a lot of people today; in particular unsaved people who often want a sign from God. They want to sign and spite of the testimony of creation, their conscience, the Bible, and the Christian. The cross is the only thing they can truly convince a sinner of the reality of who Jesus is. Once someone who is really seeking God understands that the holds in his hands and the holds in his feet are because of their own sin, they will fall at his feet and cry," my Lord and my God".

It seems like the truth always comes back to our willingness to believe, Jesus spoke to those who followed him all the way through his ministry about their part in being faithful to the spirit of the law of Christ. As Jesus taught in the heel the multitudes of people that came to him he showed compassion in Matthew 12:13-30 when he healed a man's hand in charge of those who saw that they should not say anything about it. Inverse 18 it says"behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, and my soul is well pleased; I will put my Spirit upon him, and he shall show judgment to the Gentiles he shall not strive, nor cry neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall not be quenched, to lease and forth judgment to victory and in his name shall the Gentiles trust. Then was brought to him one possessed with the devil line, dumb, and he healed him in so much that the blind and dumb both spoke and saw. And all the people were amazed, and said, is this not the son of David? When the Pharisees heard, they said this fellow does not cast out devils but by Beelzebub the prints of the devils. Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; in every city or house divided against itself shall not stand. And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom stand? And defined by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges but if I cast out devils by the spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come to you. Or how else can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first binds the strong man? And then he will spoil his house he that is not with me is against me; and he that gathers not with me scattered abroad."

I am constantly reminded of the different ways that we are divided as Christians against one another; it would seem that as we go from church to church, and body to body in Christ we are more in competition with one another to convince people around us that our doctrines are correct, trying to prove that we are right on a scriptural basis then we are unified through the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ. Jesus tended to call the leadership of the synagogues that were there during his ministry a generation of vipers. Jesus said in Matthew 12: 34- 36 "oh generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things but I say to you that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the days of judgment." Today the church tends to use idle words in describing our faith. The words we use are not of themselves false, and yet those words when they are judged by the world next to our actions are not only found to be false, but downright deceitful. I believe it is for that reason that the church is having an extremely difficult time convincing people of the reality of Christ in this age. In Matthew 12: 37- 41 we find Jesus saying "for by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned. Then certain of the scribes and the Pharisees answered saying, Master we would see a sign from you. But he answered and said to them, an evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah; for as Jonah was three days in three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it; because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, a greater than Jonah is here." Remember the two women who fought over an infant in front of King Solomon? Solomon revealed his God-given wisdom by suggesting that the child be cut into, thus exposing the true mother. The false mother preferred to divide the body rather than back down from her claim. It's interesting to note that both women dwelt in the same house, Justice both the Wii and the tears sit alongside each other in the house of God. Each one of these women called upon Solomon as the Lord and both the wheat and the tares called Jesus Lord. It is not always easy to discern the wheat from the tears because it takes the wisdom of Solomon to do so. Here is wisdom. The false convert will show his spirit by without hesitation, dividing the body of Christ into, rather than gracefully making a withdrawal. He will cut the body of believers in half with vicious gossip. He sows discord among the brother. He is a slave to his tongue, which is a world of iniquity, that is set on fire of hell. (James 3: 6) I want you to know however that a true Christian sets himself as a watch at the door of his mouth, and will immediately back away from words that would divide a local church. He knows that the beginning of strife is like one who lets out water (Proverbs 17:14 and he doesn't become involved with idle talk. He is a peacemaker, a child of God. The fear of God is his guide. He knows that there's not a word on his tongue that God doesn't know, and that on judgment day he will give an account for every idle word he speaks. We need to be extremely careful in this age how we go about our witness and how we go about our relationship with one another as a witness to the world around, believe me my dear ones this is very important. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
