Everything has a purpose

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

There have been many different excuses that man has given for sin down through the ages and yet there is an argument that I've heard pop-up from time to time in my life that tries to blame God for the sins we commit. "God made me like this, sin is his fault"! The problem is this whole idea would not work at all in a civil court, even though I'm sure that it's been tried. It certainly won't work on judgment day. Even with an expert defense lawyer, it would take a pretty inept judge to fall for the old "God made me do it"defense.

The fact of the matter is we are responsible for our own moral conduct. "The buck stops here"at least it did for Adam. He tried to blame both God and the EU for his sin; but he blamed the serpent. I suppose it's human nature to try to get out of something, but it doesn't work with God.1 Timothy 2:14 speaks of Adam not being deceived, but the woman was in transgression. Why God created the serpent and allowed him to tempt Eve is a great mystery, however, those who would be quick to accuse God of wrongdoing would be wise to lay a hand on their mouth. We don't have to question God's integrity because we know that all of his judgments are true, and altogether righteous (Psalms 119:9). I believe that America has been built upon the principle of belief in God. Without God there is no virtue because there is no prompting of any kind of conscience. Without God it is easy for evil to course society, without God democracy will not and cannot long endure. Ronald Reagan said "if we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under".

I believe with all my heart that each one of us has a definite purpose in Christ in this age. I believe that we are all living where we are, and how we are for very good reason. We may not understand the influence that we have at our fingertips with others, and yet each one of our lives is an influence to someone else. I believe that in our society today there are many people who have seared their conscience so badly that they no longer feel guilty. In a way they have kind of removed the batteries from the smoke detector of their conscience so that they can sin without interruption the way to resurrected deadened conscience is to go through each of the 10 Commandments, reminding the person that they know that it's wrong to lie, steal, commit adultery, and within their own mind allow themselves to be seen as the accused in God's courtroom. It is impossible to have the law without also having punishment just as it is also impossible to have grace without love. I know that all too well in my own life. I am very fortunate to now understand my purpose in this life, and how it fits with the various other purposes in your lives. It is my prayer that you will allow God to use you this day in a mighty way; a way that perhaps you have not seen until now, and with the purpose that perhaps you've never allowed yourself to have confidence in. None of us are here for a very long period of time, and so we need to get our act together while we are here. Allow God to use you today in a mighty way to show forth your witness of what Christ has done in your life to the world that is all around you. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
