JULY 4 the Spirits truth for America
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Today is July 4, a very special day for those of us who still love America. As I looked through God's word yesterday morning before church services God's spirit gave me a special Scripture that I need to share with you especially today. It deals with the words of judgment concerning the sins of Israel and Judah, but I want to share with you what is written beginning in Isaiah 1:7-20.
This is a perfect description of America today "your country is desolate, your cities burned with fire; your fields are being stripped by foreigners right before you, laid to waste as when overthrown by strangers." This verse got my attention very quickly because of the way our country is allowing the immigrants from other places to come in and strip us of rights, jobs, and divide us against one another. The actual problem is not the immigrants themselves but those who have wiggled their way into authority in our land, and who have proven time and time again to be terrorists to our principles and our way of life in this country.
Verse 8 "the daughter of Zion is left like a shelter in a vineyard, like a hut in a field of melons, like a city undersea. Unless the Lord Almighty had left us some survivors, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah. Here the word of the Lord you rulers of Sodom listen to the law of our God you people of Gomorrah! The multitude of your sacrifices... What are they to me? Says the Lord. I have more than enough of burnt offerings, of rams and the fat of fattened animals; I have no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats. When you come to appear before me who has asked this of you, this trampling of my courts?" One of my first thoughts when reading this is our tendency to use the wisdom of men to fix spiritual problems. We cannot ignore the word of God, and then simply go on to try to perfect ourselves through this world, for we are imperfect creatures. Verse 14 "your new moon festivals and your appointed feasts my soul hates. They have become a burden to me; I am weary of burying them. When you spread out your hands in prayer I will hide my eyes from you; even if you offer many prayers I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood washed and made yourselves clean take your evil deeds out of my sight stop doing wrong learned to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless plead the case of the widow. Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like Scarlett they shall be as white as snow; though they are read his Crimson they shall be like wall. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land, but if you resist and Bree Bell, you will be devoured by the sword for the mouth of the Lord has spoken"I believe this is a very clear message to us in America today. I do not believe God has forsaken us I do not believe that evil has chased good away; but I do believe that our evil deeds in our wrongdoing has God fed up with our sin and self-centeredness. We have the opportunity to be as it has been said "the greatest nation on earth"and I believe that God has chosen us as a nation to lead the world toward him. We as the church have failed in our mission to witness unto Christ. Most of us have bought in to the horrors of political correctness when it comes to dealing with issues that are spiritual in nature. It is my call to you today to be regenerated in the spirit of God, and to once again allow God's power to flow through your life as an individual today. Let us celebrate this day and this country with full hearts knowing that we can turn around the trappings of a world who is trying to make us into a Sodom and Gomorrah. Let's turn our eyes toward God. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
