Graduating from the school of hard knocks
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
I can still remember my father using this term "all I graduated from the school of hard knocks". The fact his that many of us have had some experiences with that type of education through our our lifetime, and the lessons we have learned from those experiences have many times become very valuable to us in our lives. It isn't that the father wants to put us through such things, but he knows as do we that we can almost always count on learning a lesson under such circumstances. That is the main point of what the Spirit wants us to know. We must learn those lessons before we can go on to the next series of lessons that he has for us. If we need to repeat a lesson several times we can be sure that it is because of our own stubbornness and not because the lesson was not well taught. Each of us deals with things in our own way, and so we need individual tutoring in order for us to have a proper learning environment. Christ summed it up by saying this:" no one comes into the father except by me". If we can learn that lesson we are far ahead of the class. The lessons are simple; so simple in fact that we try to make them harder on her own. They become stumbling blocks for us and we fail not because of the test but because of our own pride in learning.
If we can just put God first in our lives all of the other things will fall into place. That simple lesson is so many times miss construed because we think that he asks us to give up all of our desires and wants of this world for him in order to put him first. He simply said"put God first and all the other things we want or need will come", if we give God the glory for our beautiful day, for the rain that falls, for the time that we can share with those we love, then then is giving God the glory in all things first. When you are honored give the praise and glory to the God who made you to be who you are! If we simplify our thoughts we can stand in front of the father is truly as little children learning at their fathers in the. Christ said suffer the little children to come on to me for such is the kingdom of heaven. If we can learn these very simple lessons everything else will be there for us.
There isn't one time that I have put God first in my life that he hasn't blessed me so much that I could not count the blessings. It isn't a situation where"if I scratch guns back, he will scratch mine", but it is a situation of building trust, honor, and love between us and God. Today we have another opportunity to be used of God's Spirit to bear fruit for the kingdom of God. It is time for us as Christians to begin to realize what it truly means to worship God on a daily and sometimes moment to moment basis where we are constantly used by his spirit to minister to or to serve others. I have no doubt that we will find out what it really means to worship God when we begin then journey in God's Spirit. Please continue to pray for me as we strive this year to seek answers through the power of prayer and the leading of God's Holy Spirit. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
