Who among us is the greatest?
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
I really don't think about questions like this much in my life, but I find that many people do. Who is it that is more worthy? I can remember even when I was led to use my pen name "the unworthy servant"I got a tremendous negative response from people who said but you are worthy. I have asked myself what is it actually that makes me any different from someone else? Who is more worthy? Who is more honored? Who is the first and who is the last?
All of these questions were asked of Jesus when he was on earth in the form of a man. We all tend to ask the questions differently. What doctrines are right what doctrines are wrong? How can we know we are of God? It seems like when we get an answer to a question something else pops up in our minds for us to struggle with except for one constant in our experience with the father. Everything God has given to us is all given so that we can use it and searching for him in our lives. He has allowed us the latitude choice in the ways that we seek after him, and he is given us no roadmap or doctrines of belief patterns that we have to follow save a few; we must seek his face every day. We must be loyal to the family and to which we have been adopted. We must believe in the father and what he has told us through Jesus his son with all that we are. The concepts of how or why God did these things will always be up for discussion until we can ask the father for ourselves, but none of it has to do with our salvation in Christ or in the workings of his spirit within our lives. These are the things that are man made, and there what doctrines are made from. These are the things that denomination spring from which of divided God's people time and time again. If we can only get past that which is the very little value in our lives and on to the salvation of our souls I believe we could worship as a body which is whole and acceptable to the father once again. We are made the way we are because it is God's purpose that we are made to become new creatures through transforming our minds and our hearts. It is God's spirit which does this transforming within us, who fills us in gives us the breath of life in these times. We can all say that we are first because he has made us to be so! Let us therefore consecrated our lie sent ourselves in a new and fresh way that we could really be worthy of the trust and the law that the father has put into each of us as his children. It's a glorious day Christ and we are the victors! Praise God! The only way that we can be successful in our witness through God's spirit is by our gift of free will that is given back to him. It is this free will that God speaks of that is given to each man as a gift in equal portions. It is a gift of free will that is like the seed money or talents that has been given to the servants by the Lord just before he goes on his trip. This free will is given to each of us so that God might find out what we will do with it. Will we increase it? Will we put it to work for good? Will it be put to work for God or for self? Who is greater in our own minds?
How we look upon ourselves is in a huge way reflective of the things we love the most in this life. Do we love God, or self? Within that thought also reflects how much we can be trusted with the gifts we have been given. In truth we should know ourselves well enough to give an answer to those questions unless we have gotten so addicted to this world that we are even lying to ourselves. Who is it within your heart is the greatest? May you richly bless God through your life in him.
