DISCERNMENT/ The Church
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
It is not often in this country that we think of ourselves as being in bondage, but in truth we really are in bondage when we allow ourselves to go along with the flow of public opinion. God has continued to work with me over the years with the gift of discernment. Some of what I will be sharing with you in this blog deals with one the spirit has spoken to me about that subject.
"We are all called to the light of his word by the power of his spirit in our lives. That same spirit dwells with us gives us the reason to discern what truth is even though we may not have been taught by someone else what the truth is from his word. Truth comes from the spirit, the spirit comes from God the father who made truth therefore truths begets truth, and if we are in God we also know truths when it is before us. When we are faced with Satan's logic about truth we get either a half truths or a lie. Even a half truths is not truth and is corrupted; yet we are told to second-guess the truth so that we might accept a lie. It is time for our spirits to begin to answer the truth that we know is God in our lives and did not be cast to and fro with doctrines made by men that are filled with half-truths.
The spirit will know the truth for you and that truth will set you free of the bondage you have allowed yourself to be in. If we are bound to a lie we are bound to this world. If we are bound to this world we cannot be a part of God's kingdom as well. It is time for us to give the control to God in our lives so that we will understand what truth is in the Sage, for if we do not we cannot hope to understand the truth when we do here it. That is exactly what Satan hopes for. This world asks us to set aside the truth just long enough to listen to an alternative. No matter how plausible it may sound, a lie is still a lie. Don't let your life be governed by the trappings of a lie no matter how beautiful or pleasure full it may seem"
As I began to contemplate that message it automatically brought me to a deeper place in my understanding of the truth. As I began to view truths and lie from a different perspective I found myself being changed in the spirit.
"It is given by his spirit that we should all be changed into the spiritual people we were created to be. Now we can only see in a very small way the people that we were created to be, but when that change calms we shall become much more than we thought possible. All people are created as seeds, which on the onside look pretty much alike. The true potential of these seeds cannot be known until they are planted, die, and rise in their new form is whatever they have been created for. Some may become mighty oaks while others different grains, flowers or sweet grasses. Some may well be weeds, which grow along side of the grain of the field, and we all know there are always some weeds along the way. The point is we are created for special work in the spirit. Each one of us has his or her own special purpose in the spirit if we will allow it to be. We may not see the real purpose in arts and until we dared to give our will over to God's spirit to do with as he pleases. We know by the faith we have in his love that we can be used of God no matter what we are to be. The question is are we willing to be planted to find out what we can really become? If we allow that then we must die to ourselves and live as a new created life spirit. Can we do that? The raw potential in each of us is staggering to imagine. It is our calling to become all we were meant to be in the glory and the majesty of God's Holy Spirit, and in his direction in our lives. Instead of feeling like we are really nothing in life, we should realize though we have not even begin to grow yet, so how can we know who we are until we are planted?"
This is just one of many haunting questions that God's Spirit has asked me through the years, and so in turn I am asking you... Who are meant to be the church, what is your response? Made you richly bless God through your life in him.
