CONCERNING THIS WORLD

GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:


   Have you ever wished that you could read the minds of those around you?  If we could I am sure that our lives would tend to change rather dramatically and very quickly.  If we could know what people were really thinking I am sure that our friendships would change, and our likes and attitudes would change so dramatically we would not recognize the person we are right now.

  The truth is that this world hates you if you are really in Christ.  John 15:18-27 spells out this truth from Jesus very well. verses 18-21 " If the world hates you, know it hated me first before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love his own, but because you are not of this world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, " The servant is not greater than his Lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying they will keep yours also".

We tend to think that we can turn the words of Jesus off and on in our lives whenever we want without complications.  In truth, we should all be focussed on the word of Christ, and be led by those words to help us get through the jungle of life that we face every day.  We have seen that according to God we cannot ever think we can bear fruit on our own.  It is even more important that we realize that we are in enemy territory, and we need the strength and support of one another to be able to stand against that hate and persecution.  We can no longer take the word of this world that says we can trust it to give us the truth and guide us to what is good for us...especially if we know how very much this place really hates God.

 Verse 21" But all these things will they do to you for my name's sake because they do not know the one who sent me.  If I had not come and spoken to them they would not have had sin, but now they have no cloak for their sin. He that hates me hates the Father also."   It is an absolute fact that Jesus exposed the sins of those men who were hiding behind religion, and that is still true today with all who try to cloak their sin with good works done in the name of God instead of bearing spiritual fruit In Christ.  God remains the Lord of my life in that I realize my strength and my influence are all in Him. Nothing that I do or say is done without my God's approval, and without His leading in my life because it is no longer me who lives in this life, but it is Christ who lives in me that directs my steps. I pray that you will be able to see this as time goes on and be able to allow the Spirit of Christ to indwell in you in the same ways. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
