Learning about values

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

For some reason most of us do not think about others having different thought processes than we do, and I believe that that sincerely holds true when it comes to what we think and the patterns we used to think and those of God. The Holy Spirit has dealt with me several times about the difference between my processes of thinking and God's. Here's an example of one of those teachings.
"The values that we as children of God hold are many times not values that the father holds concerning us. Because of that we have internal conflicts and struggles within our spiritual lives. We are made to love and serve our father, but we are also made to be here to love and serve one another. We were and truly placed on earth so that we might be protected from ourselves. What that means is that this earth was to be a haven for us. It was to be a different place than God's dwelling and yet nonetheless a place that he could come to walk and talk with us. It was created to be a place of honor to God and to be a testing ground for our worthiness and desire to be a part of God's kingdom. The act of love out of free choice is the most powerful of all types of love. It is that love that responds to crisis, and runs to comfort more quickly than in the other kind of love. Even close friends may not respond as would a family kind of love in times of real need. Many times friends do not know what to say or how to act when disasters happen. Sometimes we need to fall into the loving embrace of a family member in those times. The truest kind of love is that of an instant action on the part of one who is loving, it is a re-action; or a knee-jerk response to life and death situations. The soldier who has only those around him in war situations whom he can depend on in life and death environments will often show acts of this kind of unselfish love for someone he may or may not know who is in danger. Many times we hear of a soldier putting himself in harms way by dropping on a hand grenade or putting himself in the path of an oncoming fire fight to save another's life. We don't seem to understand that God wants then kind of response from us as his children for him and for one another. We make decisions each and every day that determine the outcome of that day. We readily make decisions which we know will show who it is we belong to in our spiritual life. We cannot play the field to find the best one to worship at the time of convenience; we must make a decision and not turn back. For those of us lucky enough to have had people in our lives whom we would have given our limes for in this way it becomes easier to see the need for guns children to be trusted in the same way. We are indeed in a great war even now and the souls which are at stake are our own and those whom we hold dearest to us in this life. We have pleaded ignorance for the best part of our lives and now we have been told the truth by God's word. Where does your treasure lay? It is said that where your treasure is so there also will be your heart. We are a people of great wealth and treasure if we allow it to be so, but there is a price. How much do you love the father? As much as he has loved you?"

The answer to such thoughts as this becomes the reason that we are placed here in this physical world, and the need in God's mind is for us to give a simple answer to that question of love. God's idea of value and of life tends to be quite different than our own. The simple truth is that we must be transformed into new creatures who both understand and agree with God's values. Unless we are transformed we will not intern into God's kingdom. May you richly bless God through your life in him.
